Corigliano Calabro

30th January, 2020

It’s another wonderful day as we quietly approach the Port of Corigliano. Weather was perfect and the Sun was up and shining.

You can feel the excitement amongst the crew as this our first time to call in this port. 08:00 alongside as scheduled and the gangway was quickly set up by the Night Team. As usual the Explore team are on standby to assist the passengers who are going on tour. The tours on offer were very well suited for our guests and included “The best of Corigliano”, “Ancient Sibari and Altomonte”, “Charming Cerchiara”  and of course not to be missed are the tours for Liquorice Factory and the Local Food and Wine.

During this cruise, we have the honour of having on board our Chairman – Mr Patrick O’Sullivan and his wife Mrs Evelyn who enjoyed their tour on the Ancient Sybaris and Altomonte Tour. Both were back on board at around 13:00.

Once everyone was on board by 1730, preparations were made for the sail away and I can say that it was another successful call of our ship, The Spirit of Discovery.
