Here we are again on CT2 for a change to do our turnaround, ready for another exciting cruise. What a beautiful day here in Dover!
Today we will embark our guests ready for our Fjord Adventurer cruise, going up to Bergen, overnight in Geiranger and the Stavanger. Geiranger is one of my favourite places on the planet so really looking forward to seeing it again and I hope the weather will be great. We have the most guests on any Saga Cruise onboard this cruise, so another standard set!! Lots of stores loading going on today on the M1 (the nickname for our deck 4 crew and provision deck) along with luggage loading and luggage cages full.
My senior team this cruise is Staff Captain Simon & Franko, Chief Engineer Dave, Hotel General Manager Jan and Cruise Director Michelle – who all are doing a great job in looking after our new ship and guests and crew – one big happy Saga Family. This is so very important for our success!!
5:15pm and time to do our passenger emergency drill and then shortly after 6pm we set sail for Bergen. One day in the North Sea tomorrow heading north towards the Norwegian Coast!! Took a great picture on departure of the white cliffs glistening in the sun – very nice.
Really looking forward to this cruise and I see lots of smiling faces on the guests – so all is well!! Full steam ahead to Bergen!
