Zeebrugge

4th September, 2019

Well bit of a windy day yesterday as we approached Helgoland with 2 to 3m seas at the anchorage which is not safe for the tenders, so unfortunately we had to turn around and head back towards Zeebrugge. A fun filled sea day was put together and we had our Captain’s cocktail party in the evening in the Britannia Lounge which was very well attended followed by a fantastic formal dinner!!

We picked up our pilot at 5am this morning, so bit of an early start, and then proceeded in towards the Zeebrugge cruise terminal pier and we docked bow in starboard side alongside. Little bit windy today but this never stops our Saganauts going ashore either on tour on our complimentary shuttle bus. Zeebrugge is well connected to get a train to Bruges or the surrounding area and is certainly a very scenic part of the world.

Well just after 8pm we had all our guests and crew onboard and it was time to leave and head home to Dover. Has been a very nice mini-cruise and I hope all our guests enjoyed our new ship.
