Gibraltar
Well it must be our lucky stars as we had 2 nice comfortable sea days with fair winds and following seas towards Gibraltar. We picked up our pilot at 7am and then with light winds we approached and docked and the outer cruise pier.
Michael Bacala blessed us with his music last night which is always inspirational for the audience, I really like his music. Half day call here with an extended stay till 1230 so many guests jumping ashore to explore early on. Many of our guests also went on tour up the Rock – with cracking views of the harbour and our new ship!
The Sun made an appearance at 10am and by 11am it was 20 degrees C, which for this time of year is great, considering Gib was closed due to wind last week.
Just after 1230 and it was time to turn the ship around and exit the Gibraltar harbour, then full steam ahead into the Atlantic. 2pm we held our Guests vs Officers shuffleboard contest, which the Hotel General Manager and Guest Service Director won (I think they cheated!!). Great fun was had by all. Let’s keep on enjoying the sunshine!!!
