Spirit of Discovery blog

Well we had 3 decent seadays on our way down to Malaga, being treated to great food and great entertainment, in particular our Spirit of Discovery Show Company and their various shows. On the 21st November we held our Welcome Cocktail Party in the Britannia Lounge which was well attended by our guests and was great to catch up with so many familiar faces. John our Executive Chef did a fantastic formal dinner to follow, so thank you for that John!!

We picked up our Malaga pilot at 7am this morning and proceeded on northerly headings to go straight alongside the cruise terminal. Little bit showery today but it didn’t stop our Saganauts in their rain coats from going ashore and exploring.

Some nice wine tours in Malaga and if I were a passenger I would definitely be ashore on this tour bus.

I have the pleasure of having my mum with me this cruise. She loves Saga and is a great ambassador for us!! We nipped ashore for a coffee and enjoyed the main precinct. 1230 all aboard during our extended stay here and it was time to leave. We turned the ship around and proceed out of the harbour ready to turn left and head out to cross the Med towards the northern coast of Sardinia with one sea day tomorrow. Weather is looking good for our visit to the Italian coast line so everyone is excited about that!

West End to Broadway on tonight from the Cast – my favourite show, so looking forward to that.

Full steam ahead to Sardinia…
