Episode 12: Spirit of Discovery emerges into the sun

On May 12, 2019, Spirit of Discovery finally emerged from the building hall where she’s been under construction since April 2018. Watched by members of the team at Meyer Werft shipyard and Saga Cruising, it was incredible to see her floating in the sunshine for the first time. Now she undergoes further testing and outfitting before sea trials begin later this month. After that, she will sail to her home port of Dover where she’s expected to arrive on June 28.
