Roseau, Dominica
I always like the authentic Caribbean Islands that show the beautiful natural scenery and Dominica is no exception. Over 70% of the land is occupied by Rain Forest and you get the feel of natural wonders in action.
We picked up our pilot today at 7am and we docked the vessel on the downtown berth in the island’s capital, Roseau. Little windy today and the occasional shower and cloud mixed with sunshine, but this did not stop the Saganauts going ashore either on our organised explore ashore tours or jumping into a local taxi and getting a guided tour.
Lots of great scenery to see and I hope the guests enjoyed it. Today we also held our Plaque Exchange Ceremony – and this was well attended by all. We departed our berth just before 5pm ready for our next port of call St Maarten.
Tonight we will hold our Diamond Dinner in the East to West – a great chance to catch up with so many familiar faces – really looking forward to it!
