Kristiansand

1st August, 2019

6:30am and time to pick up our pilot, looks to be a nice day today with hopefully a glimmer of sunshine coming though in a Norwegian Summer. Alongside our downtown berth by 8am and our Saganauts as keen as ever to get ashore and go exploring.

Kristiansand (originally spelt Christiansand) is the 5th largest city in Norway in the county of Vest-Agder and was established in 1641. A very nice place, well visited by cruise ships and we are lucky we are the only cruise ship in today.

Explore ashore excursions proving very popular today with visits to the vintage railway, city and surrounding tours to name but a few.

Today is our last port this cruise and these one week cruises really do fly by. 5pm and time to depart and on our way south to Dover with a sea day tomorrow.

Lots going on this evening with our Farewell Cocktail Party and Dinner and the special treat of Maria Lyn, treating us to a great show over two nights – cannot wait!!

A busy sea day planned for our guests and the weather is looking smooth – full steam ahead!!
