Morocco
Agadir is Morocco’s most important fishing port and is home to one of the largest retail markets in the country, Souk El Had. Here you’ll have the chance to explore the market’s 6,000 stalls, selling everything from clothing and footwear to musical instruments and fresh fruit. You’re bound to find some unique gifts and souvenirs here!
In Casablanca, shop at the Marche Central Market and admire the 600-foot-tall minaret of the impressive Hassan II Mosque.
The Gambia
Further south, visit the Gambia’s capital city of Banjul, which sits near the mouth of the infamous Gambia River. In Banjul’s Old Town you can experience the authentic bustle of local life at the Royal Albert Market.
The nearby Abuko Nature Reserve is home to a host of beautifully coloured birds, crocodiles, monkeys and other exotic wildlife. Be sure to bring your binoculars!
Senegal
French-speaking Dakar in Senegal is one of Africa’s largest cities. Médina is one of the most ancient parts of the city and retains its original African character, making it the cultural centre of the city.
From Dakar you can visit Lac Rose, or take a trip to Gorée Island, the site of one of the earliest European settlements in Western Africa.

Makasutu Forest Adventure
On arrival at Makasutu, take a trip down the river in glass fibre boats and go for a ‘bush walk’, where you may see more local flora and fauna.
Enjoy lunch at the Base Camp, featuring traditional African specialities, as local dancers and drum troupes perform under the shade of the Baobab tree.
African Highlife Show
This tour offers a great introduction to the culture and traditions of The Gambia. Enjoy a brief tour of the Ebujan theatre and admire an art exhibition by one of the country’s finest artists, Njogu.
Then take your seat and settle down for the evening. You will be entertained by a traditional play and dance show, depicting the history of The Gambia. The show offers true insight into the unique culture and vibrant traditions of this nation.
