Visit Prague and cruise the Danube
Enjoy a three-night stay at a centrally-located hotel in Prague, with the opportunity to see some of the city’s landmark sights, such as Prague Castle and 14th-century Charles Bridge, at your leisure. During your stay, a Saga Tour Manager will be on hand to help you make the most of your visit. After your stay, travel by coach to Regensburg and embark Spirit of the Lorelei for an all-inclusive, eight-night river cruise in 2027. In Regensburg’s UNESCO-listed old town you can see medieval churches and fine Romanesque and Gothic buildings during a walking tour. Sail overnight to Passau, whose towers, spires and red-roofed houses are set against a backdrop of wooded hills. Enjoy a full day exploring both independently and on a walking tour before sailing overnight and on past the rolling hills and vineyards of the scenic Wachau Valley. Arrive in Dürnstein, which is set beneath the ruined Kuenringer Castle where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned during the late 12th century. Walk along the town’s medieval lanes towards the city gate and baroque abbey, with its beautiful blue spire. Inside the abbey you can enjoy a short organ performance and admire the historic surroundings as you listen.
Enjoy a full day in the elegant capital Vienna. See some of the city’s highlights, including the Ringstrasse and Opera House, during a tour. Then, after a morning cruising the Danube, arrive in Bratislava. Join a local guide on an excursion to see Slovakia’s capital by Land Train, disembarking to explore the grounds of Bratislava Castle and the Old Town on foot. Visit the small town of Esztergom, home to Hungary’s largest basilica, which you can explore on an excursion that includes entrance. Spend an afternoon cruising towards Budapest, through the charming scenery of the Danube Bend. Enjoy a coach tour of Budapest, with the opportunity to alight at Heroes Square and St Stephen’s Basilica to explore briefly on foot.

Orea Hotel Andel’s Prague
Travel to Prague where you will stay three nights at the locally rated 4-star Orea Hotel Andel’s Prague in the city’s lively Andel District. Dinner is included tonight and the rest of your stay is on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Please note: Jul 27, 2027 departures stay at the centrally located, locally rated 4-star Diplomat Hotel Prague.
This historic ‘city of a hundred spires’ is known for its Gothic, Baroque and Rennaisance architecture, with highlights incuding 9th-century Prague Castle and 14th-century Charles Bridge.
Included excursion
After breakfast at the hotel, travel by coach to Prague Castle to explore different courtyards and admire the architecture of St Vitius Cathedral a burial place of the former Czech kings.
You should expect to walk a total of two miles from Prague Castle down to Charles Bridge and across to the Old Town Square, and from there to Chech Bridge to rejoin the coach for the return journey to your hotel or you can walk one mile over level, cobbled surfaces from Chech Bridge to the Old Town Square and back. You can stay in the area and return by public transport at your own expense and in your own time.
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Perhaps head to the Municipal House and Gardens, visit the Klementinum Library or see the former home of novelist Franz Kafka. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in this area too. The city also has an impressive collection of art galleries and museums, such as the Steel Art Museum, Signal Space Prague and the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art.

This evening you will experience a local typical Czech evening with local dancers, local food and local wines, this evening is all about fun and participation.
Spirit of the Lorelei
After breakfast enjoy time at leisure in Prague, returning to the hotel for an early light lunch. Then, check out and transfer to Regensburg, a coach journey of approximately four-and-a-half hours, including a comfort stop. On arrival in Regensburg, embark Spirit of the Lorelei. Your all-inclusive cruise begins with dinner tonight.

The city of Regensburg has been a religious centre since the 7th century and has numerous medieval churches. Throughout the 12th and 13th centuries the city enjoyed great wealth thanks to its trade links in Europe and there are many examples of fine Romanesque and Gothic architecture still to be seen in the UNESCO-listed old part. The Stone Bridge, completed in 1146, influenced bridge-building elsewhere, including the Charles Bridge in Prague. Sail overnight.

Passau is located at the confluence of the Danube, the Ilz and the Inn rivers. The surrounding wooded hills create a scenic backdrop to the city’s towers, spires and red-roofed houses. The wealthy past of this cultured city is reflected in its many fine buildings, including the baroque St Stephen’s Cathedral, and the old and new Bishop’s Palaces. Sail overnight towards Dürnstein.

Arrive Dürnstein, 1200. Depart 1800.
Cruise through the picturesque scenery of the Wachau Valley to Dürnstein. The old town of Slovakia’s capital is easily explored on foot. The ancient cobbled streets lead to Bratislava Castle, which offers a bird’s-eye view of the city. The Gothic-style Cathedral is where eleven Kings of Hungary were crowned while Turks occupied their own capital. Sail overnight.

The small town of Esztergom is home to Hungary’s largest basilica, the dome of which can be seen for miles. The first Hungarian king, St Stephen, was born and crowned in Esztergom. Spend the afternoon cruising towards Budapest, along the scenic Danube Bend.

Visit Esztergom Basilica, the second largest church and tallest building in Hungary. Gaze up at its semi-sphere dome, along with the monument’s aqua blue entrance door and three roofing spheres. Inside, you can see the altarpiece depicting the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by Girolamo Michelangelo Grigoletti.
Budapest is a city made up of two parts: Buda and Pest, built on opposite banks of the Danube. The cities have been officially united since 1873, but they are still very different in character. Buda is the older and more graceful, with its cobbled streets, medieval architecture and UNESCO-listed Buda Castle, while Pest is the administrative and commercial centre, with wide avenues and 19th-century public buildings.

There are many shopping centres (Nový Smíchov) nearby and the hotel offers easy access to the Vltava River and city centre.

The hotel features modern amenities in a contemporary, urban-style building. There are 290 bedrooms of which the Deluxe Double Rooms are approximately 22 m² and have an en suite bathroom with a combined bath/shower.
