How our discounts work

On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.

This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.

Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.

When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.

Explore the Rhine’s medieval heritage

Step aboard Spirit of the Moselle in Mainz for an all-inclusive, 7-night river cruise on the Rhine in 2027. Stop to visit Koblenz, set at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Enjoy a guided walking tour to see the Deutsches Eck, or German Corner, the Old Town and the Schängel fountain, which stands in the courtyard of the Town Hall. Then continue sailing to the classic Rhineland wine town of Boppard. Uncover a wealth of Roman history on a guided walking tour to see the 14th-century Carmelite church and the two-towered church of St Severus, home to painted wall scenes built over the Roman military baths in the 13th century. Spend a relaxing afternoon cruising through the UNESCO-listed scenery of the Middle Rhine Gorge, passing the Lorelei Rock en route to Rüdesheim for an overnight mooring, Here, you can join a guided tour of Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum with its collection of self-playing instruments.

Next, Spirit of the Moselle sails into the Upper Rhine region passing urbanised and industrial stretches. Visit historic Heidelberg, set beside the River Neckar. Travel by coach from your ship to explore the medieval city at your leisure. See the university and the Church of the Holy Spirit on a guided walk through the old town. Then, cruise the Rhine to where it forms the border between France and Germany and embark on a canal cruise through medieval Strasbourg, followed by time at leisure in the city. Finally, continue to Breisach where a walking tour will reveal the 12th-century cathedral, St Stephan’s Minster.
