Travel to Utrecht and embark Spirit of the Rhine.
Depart Utrecht, 0500.
Arrive Arnhem, 1300.
Arnhem, located on the banks of the Nederrijn and St Jansbeek rivers, is best known for its connection to one of the famous battles of World War Two and the subject of the epic war film A Bridge too Far.
Sail overnight.
Included excursion
Join an included walking tour into the centre of the city to see the traditional Dutch architecture lining the cobbled central square. This excursion covers approximately one-and-a-half miles, however a shorter included walking tour is also available.
Depart Arnhem, 0100.
Arrive Roermond, 1300.
The historic town of Roermond sits on the bank of the Meuse river and boasts more than 800 years of history. Much of the town centre has been designated a conservation area on account of its listed buildings and monuments. Its skyline is dominated by the towers of St Christopher Cathedral and Roermond Minster.

Arrive Maastricht, 1400.
The city of Maastricht features charming riverside promenades and medieval architecture. Its cobbled old town houses the Gothic-style church of St Janskerk and the Romanesque Basilica of St Servatius. The 14th-century water mill within the city still mills grain for the adjacent bakery.
Included excursion
Enjoy an early dinner on board this evening before transferring by coach to Vrijthof Square in the medieval heart of Maastricht. Here, you will take your seat for the André Rieu concert at the MECC Maastricht.
Depart, 1300.
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon aboard Spirit of the Rhine and continue sailing overnight.
