A warm welcome from our Saga Hosts

During your stay at any of our hotels, you’ll be greeted by our friendly Saga Hosts, who are on hand to share their local knowledge, and ensure your stay is the best it can be.

One of our friendly Saga Hosts in resort

Michelle joined Saga in 2015 after previously working for another tour operator, she’s currently our Saga Host at the Hipotels Marfil Playa, Majorca.

Sa Coma is a fairly busy resort with excellent facilities and a fantastic beach, but the icing on the cake is being right on the edge of a nature reserve as it means you can enjoy lovely long walks into the pretty countryside stretching along the coastline.
The level of customer service on a Saga holiday is very high. The personal service makes us unique, from the very first phone call right to the moment the guests’ holiday ends (and even beyond that). We Hosts are given the freedom to make decisions that we think are best for our guests, which means we can act quickly and decisively when we need to.

Mary has worked for Saga for more than 20 years after starting in Portugal as an entertainer. She’s currently our Host at the Best Hotels Semiramis, Tenerife.

I’ve worked in most of Spain and the islands, as well as Malta, but I’m now based in North Tenerife. I love the north of the island because of its natural beauty of botanical gardens and beautiful walks with stunning views.
As a Host I have to pay attention to our guests, what their likes, dislikes and needs are, so we can give them individual attention and ensure they get the holiday they imagined.
A tip I always share is, buy a phrase book for the language of the country you’re visiting. Learn a few basic phrases and you’ll find the locals will respond to you far better and appreciate the effort.

Tony has been part of Saga’s team for more than 20 years, and is currently based in Tenerife.

I like the traditional Canarian feel of the old town and Plaza del Charco, and the vibrant holiday atmosphere. There is always something going on – either a grand fiesta or an international sporting event that draws the crowds together.
I always like meeting our guests, they’re usually well-travelled with plenty of stories, and there’s always a friendly atmosphere.
To make sure you get the best out of the destination, use the local buses. This way you’re going to see the real areas and not just the purpose built tourist traps.

Charalambos has worked as a Saga Host since March 2015. He’s currently our Saga Host at Alexander the Great Beach Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus.

There are many things I love about my home city, Paphos. To begin with Paphos not only has one of the best climates in the world where 340 days out of the year is sunny but it is also one of the safest places. Paphos offers a subtropical climate, with sandy turquoise shores and wildflower-covered hills.
For people interested in archeological sites, the whole town has been added to UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List. There are many places of cultural and historical interest here.
My tip is to take advantage of the tours available and even explore the area on your own. Alexander the Great Beach Hotel is one of the finest hotels Cyprus has to offer. With excellent service, a great location, friendly helpful staff, delicious food and spectacular shows, guests satisfaction comes guarantee.
Saga guests are always very well looked after, and can expect service with a more personal touch. That’s what makes a Saga holiday different to other companies.
