quote marck How long have you been working as a Saga Host?

I have been working at the hotel, Juan de la Cosa, for 20 years and I was lucky to become a Saga Host eight years ago. I’ve enjoyed working with Saga customers during this time.

Why do you love the destination and hotel?

The hotel is situated directly on the long sandy beach, providing lovely walks and fresh air. Santona is a small fishing town on the north Cantabria coast. We are famous for our anchovy factories and our traditional customs.

Our customers love the hotel, its beach location, the food and the activities. We offer authentic Spanish cuisine, wine tasting, live music, walks and included excursions.

What do you love about your role as a Saga Host?

I love working with our customers. We enjoy our time together and have a lot of fun, and I am very proud to show them every thing about the hotel and local area. I always look forward to giving our guests an unforgettable holiday.

What would be your Saga Host highlight?

I love showing our visitors around Santona and the surrounding villages of our neighbouring town of Laredo."

quote marck How long have you been working as a Saga Host?

I've been working for Saga since 1995.

Why do you love the destination and hotel?

The Hotel Port Denia is lively and friendly with a great activity program.

What do you love about your role as a Saga Host?

The best part of my job is seeing people making new friends and having fun.

What would be your Saga Host highlight?

The highlight of Denia is its cosmopolitan atmosphere, maze of streets and its history. Plus, it also great for walking as there are so many scenic walks."

quote marck How long have you been working as a Saga Host?

I started working as a Saga Host in February 2016. I live in Paphos so I know the area very well.

Why do you love the destination and hotel?

The Cypria Maris in Paphos is a fabulous hotel in a perfect location. The coastal path runs in front of the hotel and many guests like to walk all the way to Paphos harbour taking in the beautiful views along the way.

What do you love about your role as a Saga Host?

I love meeting new guests every week, and hearing how much they are enjoying their holiday. I find it really rewarding. I also love the fact that every day is different!

What would be your Saga Host highlight?

My highlight would be Paphos Old Town. This area of Paphos was completely renovated in 2017 when Paphos was the European Capital Of Culture. It's a great place to visit now, with artisan shops, traditional coffee shops, quirky murals on the walls and stunning views of Paphos. There's also a big indoor market which the guests love! I take my guests on a walking tour to the Old Town every Saturday and never get tired of visiting."

quote marck How long have you been working as a Saga Host?

I've been working for Saga for 15 years.

Why do you love the destination and hotel?

The Bull Costa Canaria & Spa adult-only hotel is the ideal place to relax and chill out, with its beautiful gardens leading you down to the beach.

What do you love about your role as a Saga Host?

I love the fact no two days are the same in my role as a Saga Host. I also love helping guests get the most out of their holiday with us.

What would be your Saga Host highlight?

My highlight is to explore the whole island of Gran Canaria. Known as a mini continent, it has diverse terrain, and there is so much to see and do from the coffee and banana plantations in the north, to the magnificant beaches and sand dunes in the south."
