8Spirit of the Rhine%u2019s unique decorEach of our boutique river cruise ships has her own identity, inspired by the river she is named after. Spirit of the Rhine%u2019s interior design features soft blue hues with pastel pink highlights throughout, and focuses on the river%u2019s legends, such as Lorelei and Rheinfels Castle. A specially commissioned piece depicting the castle, painted by Sunga Park is exhibited in Rheinfels Restaurant. In the Lorelei Lounge you can see a 3D depiction of butterflies landing on %u2018the Lorelei book%u2019 by Lisa Haftel, while the ship%u2019s corridors showcase delicate butterfly wing patterns by Lauri Dunn.Lorelei LoungeFeaturing floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, the Lorelei Lounge is the heart of the ship, and the perfect place to socialise with fellow guests in the bar, read a book with a cup of coffee from the self-serve tea and coffee station, or pull up a chair and enjoy the changing scenery as you cruise.The ship has an extensive Sun Deck, complete with sun loungers, waiter-served drinks and a plunge pool.Spacious cabinsMore than 75% of the ship%u2019s 92 cabins have French balconies, looking out from the Middle and Upper decks. With floor-to-ceiling windows, they offer personal, private views of every destination. Cabins on the Lower deck are smaller and feature a small picture window, so they also have plenty of natural light.
