How our discounts work

On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.

This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.

Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.

When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.

Contrast traditional Germany with lively Dutch cities

Combine a cruise along the Rhine, exploring the charming towns and cities of Germany, with an exploration of the Dutch Waterways on this all-inclusive, 8-night river cruise aboard Spirit of the Rhine in 2026. Visit medieval Mainz and enjoy a walking tour into the Old Town to see Mainz Cathedral. In the wine town of Rüdesheim journey aboard the land train to visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum for a guided tour of the world’s largest collection of self-playing instruments. Cruise through the UNESCO-listed scenery of the Middle Rhine Gorge to Boppard and look forward to sampling local wine during an on-board tasting. Spend a full day in the city of Cologne, where you can choose between a walking tour of the medieval Old Town, with its churches and merchants houses, or opt for a tour of its UNESCO-listed cathedral.

Sail overnight into the Netherlands and visit Arnhem, known for its connection to one of the famous battles of World War Two and the subject of the epic war film A Bridge too Far. See more of the city on a walking tour to the central square to admire traditional Dutch architecture. Sail overnight for a day in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, known for its world-famous museums and vibrant culture, offers time to explore both independently and during a cruise along the city’s historic canals. Sail overnight to Rotterdam and explore the city by coach, stopping at the historic Delfshaven district with its gabled buildings, the Cube Houses, and at the Markthal, a combined indoor food market and apartment block, for a closer look on foot.
