On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.
This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.
Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.
When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.

Cruise the peaceful Moselle
Embark Spirit of the Moselle in Koblenz for an all-inclusive river cruise in 2026 visiting a succession of historic cities and medieval towns. Explore Cochem, with its hilltop Reichsburg Castle, and sample locally-produced wine on an evening excursion. Spend a relaxing afternoon following the peaceful Moselle past the vineyards and castles that dot the banks of the river. In Bernkastel-Kues a trip aboard the Bernkastel Land Train will reveal some of the town’s sights, from the old town with its market square and half-timbered houses to St Michael’s Tower.

Itinerary
Spirit of the Moselle

Travel to Koblenz and embark Spirit of the Moselle.

Depart Koblenz, 0800.
Arrive Cochem, 1300.
The small town of Cochem enjoys a scenic riverside setting. Perched on a hilltop high above the town stands the neo-Gothic Reichsburg Castle, and although most of the castle was rebuilt in the 19th century, the original 11th-century keep still survives. The town’s other historic architectural gems include a baroque Town Hall backed by a maze of streets and a quaint market square overlooked by timber-framed buildings.
Included excursion
Sample locally-produced wine at a nearby venue.
Optional excursion
Visit Cochem and Reichsburg Castle on an optional tour.

Depart Cochem, 1300.
Arrive Bernkastel-Kues, 0000.
Following a morning in Cochem, spend a relaxing afternoon on board Spirit of the Moselle as she sails through the attractive scenery lining the banks of the river.

Depart Bernkastel-Kues, 1400.
Arrive Trier, 2100.
The small town of Bernkastel-Kues has a historic market square lined by medieval houses and adorned with a 17th-century fountain. Among the vines above the town stand the ruins of Landshut Castle, the one-time seat of the Bishops of Trier.
Included excursion
Enjoy a trip aboard the Bernkastel Land Train and see some of the town’s sights, from the old town with its market square and half-timbered houses, the Cusa Foundation to the wine museum and St Michael’s Tower.

Depart Trier, 1400.
Arrive Traben-Trarbach, 2300.
Trier, the oldest city in Germany, was founded by the Emperor Augustus in 16BC. Many relics of Trier’s ancient past survive to this day, including Porta Nigra, a well-preserved Roman city gate.
Included excursion
Travel by coach into central Trier, passing along the banks of the Moselle to see the ancient Roman Bridge. Enjoy a guided walking tour to visit the UNESCO-listed Porta Nigra, the Market Square, the cathedral and the Church of Our Lady. There will be some time to explore independently before the return transfer to your ship.

Depart, 1300.
Spend the morning in the twin town of Traben-Trarbach, which straddles the Moselle and is known as the ‘capital’ of the wine region. It is home to many art nouveau buildings, underground cellar vaults and an elaborate bridge gate designed by Berlin art nouveau architect Bruno Möhring.
Continue cruising through the afternoon to moor in Winningen overnight.
Included excursion
Sample local wine during an on-board tasting session with our local vineyard partner.

Arrive 0800.
Leaving Winningen early this morning, arrive in Koblenz, meaning 'merging of the rivers'. The town is situated on the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. At the exact point where the two rivers meet, the Deutsches Eck, there is a monument with a huge equestrian statue of Emperor Wilhelm I. Above the town sits the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, a citadel built by the Prussians between 1816 and 1832.
Included excursion
Join a local guide for an included walking tour of Koblenz, taking in highlights such as the Deutsches Eck, or German Corner, the Old Town and the Schängel fountain, which stands in the courtyard of the Town Hall. This excursion covers approximately one-and-a-half miles, however a shorter included walking tour is also available.
