How our discounts work

On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.

This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.

Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.

When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.

A South American adventure awaits…

Embark on the voyage of a lifetime as you circumnavigate South America in search of captivating landscapes, ancient civilisations, and characterful cities…. This is a cruise for the adventurous. After making a memorable Transatlantic crossing, with visits to Gran Canaria and Cape Verde on route, you will arrive in Brazil, a land of natural wonders, rhythm-filled cities, and indigenous folklore. Take in a succession of thriving and vibrant cities: Brazil’s first capital Salvador, samba-fuelled Rio de Janeiro, and Uruguay’s eclectic capital, Montevideo. Enjoy an overnight visit to dynamic Buenos Aires, known as the 'Paris of South America'.

As you continue to cruise south, call at the Argentine city of Puerto Madryn, a new port for Saga Cruises, and enjoy an extended visit to the Falkland Islands, before navigating the southern tip of South America, Cape Horn. Discover the unparalleled wilderness of Patagonia, cruise past the glaciers of Amalia and Brüggen, and admire Chile’s Lake District, with its sapphire-blue lakes and ancient forests. Visit Peru for an overnight stop in Callao, gateway to Lima, and see the colonial architecture of Trujillo from Salaverry.

Continue to another new port for Saga Cruises, Fuerte Amador, set at the entrance to Panama Bay and gateway to Panama CIty. Then, transit the iconic Panama Canal to Colón, and explore UNESCO-listed Cartagena. In the Caribbean Sea, uncover Dutch influences in Aruba, step ashore on the ‘Isle of Spice’ Grenada and experience the laid-back atmosphere in the tropical islands of Tobago and Barbados. Finally, call at São Miguel, the largest island in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. The island is characterised by volcanic scenery with bubbling fumeroles, hot springs and crater lakes.
