Our Stay & Explore range will enable you to truly get up close and personal with your chosen destination. Basing ourselves at one or two local hotels allows us to experience our surroundings in greater depth and at a more relaxed pace.
Each itinerary has been thoughtfully developed so that you’ll be able to explore both the well-known sights and the best-kept secrets of your location, and we’ve included selected excursions to the places we know you won’t want to miss.
We’ve balanced out the excursions with free time, too, so you can relax at the hotel or explore the area under your own steam.

It’s a bit of a middle ground between a hotel stay and an escorted tour. You’ll stay at one or sometimes two hotels, but you’ll have an itinerary of excursions – both included and optional – that’ll introduce you to the region’s highlights (and hidden gems). There’ll be free time as well, so you’ll be able to unwind or do a little exploring of your own if you like. A tour manager will be on hand throughout, ensuring excursions run smoothly and providing advice and recommendations on anything from local restaurants to bus timetables.
Most of our Stay & Explore trips are in Europe, although we do offer an exciting city break to New York too. The list of destinations is diverse – you could be heading off to the scenic lakes of Slovenia, going in search of the aurora borealis in Iceland, admiring the flower-filled gardens of Madeira or soaking up the Sicilian sunshine (and that’s just for starters).
