Day 1 UK to Denver

Denver

After taking Saga’s included UK door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly to Denver where you'll be taken to your hotel, the locally rated 3-star Courtyard by Marriott Cherry Creek, for an overnight stay. Your hotel is situated close to the shopping and business districts of the city. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, small restaurant, and coffee bar. All 240 air-conditioned rooms have a television, telephone, coffee maker, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi.


Day 2 Denver to Rapid City

Denver

This morning enjoy an included city tour of Denver, where you'll see the State Capitol and Denver United States Mint. This afternoon you journey north, stopping at the Fort Laramie National Historic Site, once a military post during the Plains Indian Wars, en route to Rapid City where you spend two nights at the locally rated 4-star Hotel Alex Johnson. The hotel, which is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, was built in 1927 and maintains the ambience of the 1920s. Its lobby houses a fascinating collection of Native American art and is also where you’ll find an Irish-style pub/restaurant and coffee bar. On the hotel’s top floor is another bar offering fantastic views over Rapid City. Bedrooms feature a television, coffee maker and free Wi-Fi. A welcome dinner is included this evening. B, D


Day 3 The Black Hills

Today you’ll visit the impressive Mount Rushmore National Memorial and the Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills. Later this afternoon, and evening, you'll have some free time in Rapid City. B

Day 4 Rapid City to Cody

Cody

Travel to Wyoming through the great plains of the Old West and the Bighorn Mountains arriving in Cody, on the Shoshone River, for a stay at locally rated 4-star The Cody Hotel. The hotel has an indoor pool, fitness room, laundry service and free Wi-Fi internet access in public areas. All 75 rooms have a television, tea and coffee-making facilities, refrigerator, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and safe. Travel into Yellowstone National Park via the Shoshone National Forest, and see the Yellowstone River. Stay tonight at the locally rated 4-star Holiday Inn West Yellowstone, within walking distance of shops and restaurants, where you may like to dine tonight. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, a small indoor pool and a fitness room. Day 6 West Yellowstone to Jackson

Old Faithful Geyser

Journey through Yellowstone National Park to explore the sights including the famous Old Faithful Geyser. Next, see Grand Teton National Park en route to Jackson, Wyoming. Stay two nights at the locally rated 3-star Parkway Inn of Jackson Hole. This locally owned hotel offers modern comfort but with old world charm and is situated three blocks away from the town square, within walking distance of local restaurants, galleries and nightlife. There’s a breakfast room (no full-service restaurant), and the indoor lap pool, jacuzzi tubs, gym facilities and his/her dry sauna are available to use from 8am-10pm daily. Jackson

Spend the day at leisure exploring the quaint town of Jackson where shops line the Old-West-style boardwalks of the Downtown area. Alternatively, you could join an optional rafting trip along the Snake River. Tonight perhaps enjoy a dinner and show. B


Day 8 Jackson to Salt Lake City

Travel via Bridger-Teton National Forest and Bear Lake to Salt Lake City where you'll stay at the locally rated 3-star, 362-room Sheraton Salt Lake City or locally rated 3-star, 241-room Doubletree Suites by Hilton Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown. Both hotels are located in the downtown area within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants; each hotel has a pool, fitness facilities and a restaurant or breakfast area; and all of the bedrooms have a television and telephone.This afternoon and evening are at leisure. Day 9 Salt Lake City to Bryce

Bryce National Park

Enjoy an included visit to Bryce Canyon National Park to view the hoodoos – remarkable rock formations. Continue on to Bryce for two nights at the locally rated 3-star Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn, close to the Bryce Canyon National Park entrance. The hotel was built and has been owned by the same Mormon family since 1919. Chosen for its location, this basic hotel has two restaurants, a heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool (seasonal), a general store and internet access. Each room is air-conditioned and has cable television, direct-dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, refrigerator, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. All bedrooms are in separate accommodation blocks on the ground or first floor, situated around the main reception building. Access to some rooms will be via up to 15 steps. B

Day 11 Bryce to Monument Valley

Monument Valley

Today you travel to Monument Valley and have the chance to join an optional jeep tour exploring the unusual terrain. Stay at the locally rated 3-star Hampton Inn Kayenta, where the decor has a Native-American inspired feel. Amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness room and self-service laundry facilities. The restaurant serves traditional American and south-western style cuisine, but there are also a number of restaurants and diners close to the hotel if you prefer to venture out for dinner this evening. Day 12 Monument Valley-Grand Canyon-Flagstaff

Today's excursion is sure to be a major highlight of your holiday. Journey through desert scenery to Las Vegas, arriving in time to spend the afternoon as you choose. You may like to explore the famous Strip before an overnight stay at the locally rated 4-star Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino set beside a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. Facilities at the hotel include an outdoor rooftop pool, two shopping promenades with a variety of boutique shops, spa, piano lounge, cabaret lounge, plus a selection of restaurants and bars.
