Day 1 UK-Boston

After taking Saga’s included UK door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly to Boston where you are met and taken to the locally-rated 4-star Hyatt Regency Boston Hotel (4Q) in Boston where you stay for one night. Facilities at this city hotel include a restaurant, bar and coffee shop, gym, indoor swimming pool, and free Wi-Fi. Each of the 502 air-conditioned bedrooms has a television, telephone, coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board, safe and hairdryer.

Enjoy this evening at leisure.

Day 2 Boston-Plymouth

Depart after breakfast for an included half day tour of Boston, whose highlights include catching sight of USS Constitution, better known as ‘Old Ironsides’ for the strength of its oak hull. First launched in 1797, the ship is now moored at the historic Charlestown Naval Yard. Explore the streets of 17th-century Boston on a visit to the historic North End district – both the city's oldest house and its oldest church can be found here and enjoy some free time at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace with its colourful stands, street performers and tempting food.

Afterwards continue to Plymouth where you stay for the next four nights at the locally rated 3-star John Carver Inn (3Q). B

Day 3 Plymouth

Enjoy a tour of Plymouth’s sights today. Pilgrims from the Mayflower founded a colony here in 1620. Look forward to an included visit to the Plimoth Plantation – a living museum that brings the history of America’s early settlers to life. B

Day 4 Plymouth

Enjoy today at leisure, perhaps joining an optional excursion to Nantucket island, or the island of Martha’s Vineyard. B

See the charming fishing ports, delightful art galleries and deserted sand dunes of Cape Cod on an included full-day scenic drive which includes a stop in pretty Provincetown. B

Day 6 Plymouth-North Conway

Salem, Massachusetts

Travel to North Conway, with a pause en route in Salem, one of the most significant seaports in early America.

It may be most widely known as the site of the Salem witchcraft trials of 1692, but this colourful, coastal city has much to offer with a rich maritime heritage, an impressive display of historic architecture and amazing stories that span almost four centuries.

Arrive in North Conway where you stay for five nights at the locally rated 3-star Red Jacket Mountain View Resort (3Q+). Set in the White Mountains, this resort has two restaurants, a bar, free Wi-Fi, a health club and its own water park. There are 164 air-conditioned rooms. B

A full-day included excursion takes you to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Many of the mountains lie within the White Mountain National Forest and during your tour look forward to a memorable rail journey on the Conway Scenic Railroad. B

Day 8 North Conway and Flume Gorge or Cannon Mountain

Choose to enjoy today or leisure or join an optional excursion to Flume Gorge and Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, riding to the top of Cannon Mountain. B

Day 9 Vermont and New Hampshire

Begin your day with an included full-day excursion to the Morse Maple Sugar Farm where you can see how maple syrup is made. In tiny Montpelier you'll see the State Capitol, while in the picturesque town of Bath you can visit the Brick Store, which claims to be the oldest shop in the USA. You will also see the longest and oldest covered bridge in New Hampshire. B

Day 10 North Conway
