Day 1 UK to Washington DC

Our VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Washington DC, where we’ll stay for two nights.

Day 2 Washington DC

This morning we enjoy a tour of the city starting at Washington’s cultural and political centre, the Mall. Dominated by the Capitol Building, the fine buildings are surrounded by two miles of graciously laid out gardens, at the end of which stands the beautiful Lincoln Memorial. A short stroll takes us to the home of every American President after George Washington, the White House.

This afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. This evening we’ll visit Georgetown, a fascinating community of exquisite homes, many belonging to the Washington elite.

Day 3 Baltimore to Williamsport

We head to the northern-most tip of the Chesapeake Bay and Baltimore, where a big city atmosphere blends comfortably with small town charm.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll along its waterfront area offering a vast choice of restaurants, promenades and a beautiful harbour complex.

Later, we continue north through the pastoral delights of Pennsylvania to Williamsport.

Day 4 Niagara Falls

We continue to Niagara this morning and, crossing the Canadian border, we’re faced with the natural wonder of Niagara Falls.

On arrival, you’re free to discover the awe-inspiring Horseshoe and American Falls. The Falls can be viewed from the vantage point of the Skylon Tower, or from the underground tunnels that run behind the Falls.

Or take a boat trip up close to the Falls to feel its refreshing spray on your face and hear its thundering waters.

You stay at Sheraton on the Falls (4*) or Hilton Niagara Falls (4*).

Day 5 Niagara Falls

We have a whole day free to further enjoy the Falls. Maybe take a relaxing walk through the beautiful gardens. Or try out the town’s more unusual attractions, such as the Waxworks and the Guinness Book of Records Museum.

The casino is also worth a visit which, apart from the acres of one-arm-bandits, is home to several good restaurants and an evening cabaret show.

Day 6 Corning

We head to Rochester and the George Eastman House and International Museum of Photography. Hosting the world’s leading collections of photography and film, the beautiful landmark Colonial Revival Mansion and Gardens were home to George Eastman between 1905 to 1932.

We then take a visit to the Corning Museum of Glass, the world’s largest glass museum featuring 3,500 years of glass artistry, with amazing live glassblowing demonstrations, hands-on exhibits and an 18,000-square-foot glass market.

You stay at Radisson Hotel Corning (3.5*) or Hampton Inn Corning/Painted Post (3.5*) (1).

Day 7 New York

We continue our journey to the world’s most exciting city, for a tour taking in all the landmarks you’d expect, such as Wall Street, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building and Central Park.

Having checked in to our conveniently located hotel base for the next two nights, you have the late afternoon and evening to settle in and find your bearings.

Tonight you may wish to wander over to experience buzzing Times Square and the theatre district where the choice of restaurants for dinner is unrivalled. Perhaps try out a traditional American steakhouse, or one of the many Italian eateries.

You stay at Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square Central (3*) or The New Yorker, A Wyndham Hotel(4*).

Day 8 New York

Today is free in New York, so there’s plenty of time to re-visit some of your favourite sites.

You could explore Lower Manhattan and visit the Woolworth Building (the tallest before the Empire State was built), atmospheric Chinatown, SoHo and the tree-lined streets of Greenwich Village.

Central Park is Uptown and covers an incredible 850 acres - perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll after lots of sightseeing.

Or explore Midtown - home to the impressive United Nation’s Building, Grand Central Station (familiar from so many films) and the New York public library with its famous twin stone lions outside.

If you’re in the mood for shopping, further West, Fifth Avenue’s fine shops, including Saks and Tiffany’s, Radio City Music Hall and the Rockefeller Center can be found.

Day 9 New York to UK

Your morning is free for some last-minute shopping before transferring to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 10 UK

Upon arrival, your vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
