Day 1 UK to Vancouver

After taking your included VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, depart for your flight to Vancouver where you stay for three nights at the 4-star Sheraton Vancouver Wall Center (4Q).

The hotel is well positioned close to the boutiques of Robson Street and Yaletown, while Stanley Park and the Vancouver Art Gallery are just round the corner. The 733 guest rooms enjoy views of the city’s celebrated skyline and the Pacific Ocean. Victoria

Transfer to Victoria by coach and ferry with a visit to the beautiful Butchart Gardens (three hours).

Day 6 Victoria to Whistler

Whistler

Return to the mainland and continue to the resort of Whistler (170 miles, five hours) for an included tour of the town and gondola trip up Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

Stay two nights at the 3-star Crystal Lodge (3Q), Whistler in the heart of Whistler Village. Facilities at the hotel include a choice of restaurants, outdoor heated swimming pool, fitness centre and sauna. Leave Whistler and the Lower Mainland and travel through the lush Fraser Valley (221 miles, five hours).

Learn about the Gold Rush, the life of a prospector, and the Shuswap First Nation on a visit to Hat Creek Ranch.

Stay overnight at the 4-star Sun Peaks Grand (4Q). Facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, fitness room, pub, lounge and a restaurant serving local Okanagan Valley wines. Head east along the Yellowhead Highway into Alberta (267 miles, five hours).

You spend the next two nights at the 3-star Crimson Hotel (3Q). The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of Jasper's downtown, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Drive along the famous Icefields Parkway en route to Banff (179 miles, three hours and 30 minutes), including a stop at the Athabasca Glacier for a ride on the Ice Explorer.

Stay two nights at the 4-star Banff Park Lodge (4Q). There's plenty to do here in the highest town in Canada, and it's right on your doorstep. You can browse the shops and galleries of the attractive main street or stroll along riverside walking trails. The National Park that surrounds the town is an ideal location for wildlife spotting, hiking, cycling, winter sports and the less energetic hobby of photography! Whale watching

Look out for one of nature’s most majestic creatures, the orca whale, on this exciting excursion. The waters around Vancouver Island boast the largest population of whales in the world. There are nearly 100 orcas (killer whales) surrounding Victoria, and minke, humpback and grey whales are also frequently spotted.

Maligne Valley cruise

This tour gives you an opportunity to see Jasper’s wildlife, which depending on the season, might include elk, mule deer, Dall's sheep, bighorn, mountain goat and ptarmigan. Travelling through Maligne Valley you'll stop at Maligne Canyon where thousands of years of erosion have carved out a 165-foot deep gorge in the limestone rock. It is a short walk to Maligne River where you can watch in awe as the river thunders through the canyon and down several waterfalls. Your guide will lead you onto Medicine Lake, and then Maligne Lake, tucked at the foot of a ring of mountains, where you can take a boat cruise to scenic Spirit Island. 

Please note: the boat cruise is weather-dependent and can only be operated when the lake has completely thawed. This varies from year to year according to the spring weather, so please ask your tour manager for the latest update.
