Day 1 UK to Vancouver

After taking your included VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly to Vancouver for a three-night stay at the 4-star Georgian Court Hotel (4Q).
This modern hotel is in the heart of downtown Vancouver’s theatre district and is just steps away from Robson Street’s chic shops and Yaletown’s charming restaurants. The hotel has a fitness centre, whirlpool and steam room. All 180 rooms have air-conditioning and heating, a television, direct-dial telephone, clock radio, kettle, coffee maker, mini fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
Day 2 Vancouver

Often called Canada's Gem of the Pacific, Vancouver is built on a peninsular backed by spectacular mountains. An included half-day sightseeing tour will take you through the historic Gastown district, to the modern waterfront development of Canada Place, into bustling China Town and finally to Stanley Park.
You'll then have the rest of the day to explore at leisure. Perhaps join an optional excursion, discover the downtown area's shops and restaurants or seek out one of the many attractions including the Planetarium, Anthropology Museum or the Maritime Museum. B, D
Day 3 Vancouver

Perhaps travel by ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island for an optional tour of the city and Butchart Gardens. B
Day 4 Vancouver to Kamloops by train

Board the Rocky Mountaineer for a breathtaking two-day journey through the Rockies. You disembark in Kamloops, a modern town at the confluence of the north and south Thompson River.
You stay here overnight at a 3-star hotel selected by Rocky Mountaineer. No meals are included at the hotel so you are free to dine at the restaurant of your choice in Kamloops. B, L
Day 5 Kamloops to Jasper

Reboard the Rocky Mountaineer and travel to Jasper where you stay two nights at the 3-star Chateau Jasper Hotel (3Q).
The hotel has 119 rooms and is just under a mile from the town centre and railway station, in a quiet part of town. Facilities include lounge/bar, a small restaurant, indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness centre. All guest rooms have a television, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryer and ironing facilities.
You're free to dine wherever you like today, so why not take a taxi into town and discover some of the lovely local restaurants? B, L
Day 6 Jasper

Spend the day at leisure. Perhaps join one of the optional excursion to Maligne Valley or choose a rafting trip. B
Day 7 Jasper-Icefields Parkway-Banff

See the Athabasca Glacier on an included Ice Explorer ride.
Enjoy a picnic lunch, then continue to Banff (179 miles, three hours and 30 minutes) for three nights at the 3-star Banff Park Lodge (4Q). Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, lounge, indoor pool, small gym, steam room, whirlpool, beauty salon, news stand and gift shop. All 211 rooms have a balcony or patio, cable television, direct-dial telephone, coffee maker, fridge, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and Wi-Fi (charges apply). Laundry service and 24-hour room service are available for an extra charge.
There's plenty to do in Banff, the highest town in Canada, and it's right on your doorstep. You can browse the shops and galleries of the attractive main street or stroll along riverside walking trails. The National Park that surrounds the town is an ideal location for wildlife spotting, hiking, cycling, winter sports and the less energetic hobby of photography! B, L
Day 8 Banff National Park

Enjoy the stunning mountain scenery of Banff National Park on an included tour and take a memorable gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure. B
Day 9 Banff

Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in this delightful mountain resort or perhaps join an optional excursion to Yoho National Park, or even an optional helicopter flight over the Rockies. B, D
Day 10 Banff to Calgary

Spend the morning at leisure and then continue onto Calgary, a cosmopolitan city in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains (78 miles, 90 minutes). An included orientation tour will show you the rodeo and stampede grounds that give Calgary its ‘Wild West’ feel, and you'll also drive past the historic site of Fort Calgary.
Afterwards, travel to the airport for your return overnight flight to the UK. B

Arrive in the UK this morning for your included door-to-door travel service home.
Victoria and Butchart Gardens
Take the ferry to Vancouver Island to explore the picturesque capital Victoria, commonly known as the 'Garden City'. A sightseeing tour will reveal the highlights including the impressive Parliament buildings, and you'll also have some free time to explore independently before continuing to the immaculate Butchart Gardens created from a former limestone quarry.

Join Jasper Raft Tours for a trip down the Athabasca River, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Rockies. The rafts follow the route used by fur traders and gold seekers two centuries ago.

Helicopter flights over the Rockies
Choose from two spectacular flights over the awe-inspiring Canadian Rockies. The first, Royal Canadian Tour, will take you through the Goat Range Pass and past the Sundance Range for amazing views of the mountain peaks, alpine meadows and pristine lakes of Banff National Park, on a 25 minute flight. The second option, Mount Assiniboine Glacier Tour - a 30 minute flight, will include the same sights as the other tour, but will also fly you to Assiniboine Mountain.
