Plus you can visit the delightful Isle of Purbeck and the beautiful Dorset seaside resort of Swanage which is just a short trip away by using the chain ferry from Sandbanks.
The glorious peninsula of Sandbanks has long been an exclusive playground for the British rich list, filled with expensive homes and luxury hotels. Even the surrounding sea bobs with smart yachts and sailing boats – that’s in addition to those in the swish yachting marina. Then there’s the beach – seven miles of prestigious Blue Flag award-winning sand which runs all the way to Bournemouth and beyond. Hop on the Sandbanks Ferry which will take you to Poole where you can explore the Quay, or you can head in the other direction and visit Bournemouth to stroll along the lengthy pier or enjoy the fabulous shopping opportunities.
Explore the Beaulieu mansion, gardens and motor museum, set within the New Forest Park. Started in 1952, the National Motor Museum collection now contains 250 vintage and veteran vehicles and bikes along with other related displays. Explore the automobiles and learn about motoring history at this famous museum. Alternatively, you may like to stroll around the Palace House which is set in beautiful grounds and gardens overlooking the Beaulieu River. Located in the beautiful village of Beaulieu, the National Motor Museum houses over 250 vehicles, from land speed record breakers to Formula 1 racers, and also features many other attractions.

Enjoy a nostalgic ride on one of Britain’s most popular heritage railways from Swanage station to Norden and back. Your scenic journey will include a stop at Corfe Castle, where you’ll have some free to time explore independently. Continue to Norden where you’ll enjoy free admission to the Purbeck Mineral and Mining Musuem before travelling back to Swanage.
