The Bell Rock Hotel, Church Street, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly ,TR21 0JT
This friendly and comfortable hotel occupies a quiet, central, level site, on the south east of the island of St Mary's. At this narrow point it benefits from having Town Beach to the front of it and the lovely sandy beach of Porthcressa Bay behind, meaning both beaches are about 100 yards away! The hotel is also close to the Isles of Scilly 'capital', Hugh Town, so there are shops and entertainment venues nearby, also the museum. The harbour is around a 10-minute walk away.
The hotel has 23 bedrooms.
As you’d expect in a period property, rooms vary in shape and size but all have an en suite bathroom with bath or shower or both. Beds are made up with duvets, or blankets if preferred.

The Isles of Scilly may be as much a part of Britain as Surrey, but a trip to the archipelago off the tip of Cornwall doesn’t just whisk you to a sub-tropical climate, it also takes you back in time. Warmed by the Gulf Stream the Isles of Scilly are set among more than 140 rocky outcrops and islets, most of which are only home to a few seals and seabirds. Life on the Isles of Scilly is separated from that on the mainland by more than just 28 miles of open Atlantic: the leisurely pace of life – for the 2,300 resident Scillonians at least – harks back to a bygone era. The busiest the islands get is mid-morning on the quayside in St Mary’s when tourists queue to hop onto one of the boat trips visiting the minor islands of Tresco, St Martin’s, St Agnes and Bryher.
Introductory coach tour of St Marys
