We'll wander Almuñécar's castle, take a leisurely stroll through the park, shaded by palm trees, as well as its winding alleys and seafront promenade. From peaceful walks among orange trees and cypress trees to stop vibrant rose gardens, and avocado and cherimoya orchards, we'll experience them all.

All meals are buffet-style plus a glass of local wine per person is included with dinner. Complimentary tea and coffee is served in the bar between 4pm and 5pm every afternoon.

Almuñécar is a picturesque town with jagged coastlines, intoxicating culture and world-class food and drink. Take a stroll to the town centre, where markets await, brimming with spices, olives, dried fruits, and locally made honey and molasses. If you're looking for photo-worthy views of the Mediterranean, head to Nerja and take in the stunning scenery from the clifftop known as the 'Balcony of Europe'.

Albaicin
The first optional excursion of the week features an exploration of the Albaicín, the oldest Moorish quarter in Granada. Situated on a steep hill facing the Alhambra, this is where the Zirid Monarchs first established their court in the 11th century. It’s like stepping back in time as you navigate a maze of narrow streets in search of markets, mosques, and the ancient city gateway. You'll also be invited to enjoy the Mudéjar style gardens of Casa Morisca del Chapiz. In the afternoon, it will be the upper sections of the Albaicín that catch the attention with dramatic views and stolen glimpses into small, secreted gardens adding to the allure of ancient Andalucía.
