A regular daily courtesy bus service runs between the hotel and lively Puerto del Carmen three kilometres away. Rocky pathways lead along the coast in either direction to Puerto del Carmen and to the small village of Playa Quemada.
Timanfaya National Park is five kilometres away, Arrecife airport is around a 20-minute drive.
Charming Puerto Calero with its small marina lies on the south-east coast of Lanzarote, not far from the large resort of Puerto del Carmen, home to the island’s largest beach Playa Grande.
Puerto Calero is approximately eight miles from the capital Arrecife and provides a good location from which to explore the island. The Montañas del Fuego or ‘Fire Mountains’ lie five kilometres from the area, and together with the towns and villages, caves and beaches, make Lanzarote a fascinating island.
