Introduction

The 4-star Universal Hotel Perla (4Q) is set in an enviable location, just steps from the golden sands in the peaceful resort of S’illot on Majorca’s east coast. Food and Drink

Buffet-style meals, cooked using locally-sourced ingredients, are served in the restaurant offering international specialities and traditional Majorcan cuisine. As your stay is on an all inclusive basis you can choose from a selection of wines or enjoy Spanish beer, soft drinks or water with your lunch and dinner. The free bar, open from 10am to 11pm serves a selection of premium Spanish and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as cocktails. Coffee, tea and cake are available from the bar between 3pm and 6pm.

The hotel's Skybar with stunning views from the 7th floor is open June-September.

Birdwatching in Salientes de Sa Colonia

Explore the wetland area of Salobrar de Campos, known for its wader populations. The 300-hectare site comprised of fields, saltpans and brackish lagoons provides a habitat for both breeding and migratory birds on the island. Look out for black winged stilt, avocet, greater flamingo, lapwing, golden plover, osprey and marsh harrier.

Formentor and Pollensa

Explore Pollensa, an historic town tucked into the hills which has made the most of its traditional cafe culture. The town’s genteel bay, characterised by its splendid promenade, was featured in Agatha Christie’s 1936 novel Problem at Pollensa Bay. Afterwards you visit Formentor, situated on a peninsula and surrounded by spectacular scenery.

Palma shuttle

Enjoy a trip to the vibrant capital city of Palma, home to more than half the island’s 600,000 inhabitants. It has many historic buildings and pleasant, tree-lined streets. Strolling on the waterfront promenade, Passeig Maritim, you'll see La Llotja, the medieval trading centre and Porta Vella de Moll, the old gateway to the city. The circular Bellver Castle, built by King Jaime II as a Royal palace, and later used as a prison, is perched on a hill above the city. The Almudaina Palace, originally an Arab fortress, is the official Majorcan residence of the King of Spain.
