Day 1 UK to Ljubljana to Portorož
Our VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Ljubljana.
On arrival we transfer to the town of Portorož.
Day 2 Piran
Explore the Slovenian coast this morning as we sail to Piran. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Portorož or on an optional excursion for a taste of the old Slovenian way of life in the salt fields and museum.
Day 3 Portorož
Spend your day in the ‘Port of Roses’, a modern town which has been a spa destination since the 13th century.
Alternatively, take an optional visit to magnificent Postojna Cave.
On your return, stop in Trieste for a stroll through the Italian streets.
Day 4 Stanjel to Bovec to Kranjska Gora
We travel through the Karst region as we journey towards Kranjska Gora. We pause at the prehistoric settlement of Stanjel and the small town of Bovec.
We continue through the Julian Alps over Predil Pass to Kranjska Gora.
Day 5 Kranjska Gora to Planica to Triglav National Park
Enjoy a short sightseeing visit of Kranjska Gora, an unspoiled mountain village. We visit Planica, an alpine valley and one of the world’s best Nordic ski centres; and Zelenci Nature Reserve.
We continue through the village of Mojstana and into Vrata. Pericnik Waterfall is one of today’s highlights.
Day 6 Kranjska Gora
Today is free to relax in Kranjska Gora. Alternatively, join an optional excursion to one of Slovenia’s icons - Lake Bled. Later, visit Bohinj Lake, Slovenia's largest natural lake. After a scenic journey through Bohinj Valley, you can either take a short climb for Savica Waterfall, or take a cable car to Mount Vogel.
Day 7 Ljubljana to Ptuj
Journey to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. It’s known for its medieval heritage and Renaissance, baroque, and art nouveau buildings - we enjoy a guided tour and free time, before continuing to Ptuj.
Day 8 Ptuj
Ptuj is the oldest documented settlement in Slovenia. Enjoy a sightseeing tour (with castle visit) and a free afternoon - maybe join an optional excursion to the surrounding wine region.
Day 9 Ptuj
Spend a day exploring Ptuj at leisure, or choose an optional excursion to the city of Maribor.
Day 10 Ptuj to Ljubljana to UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
Upon arrival, your vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
