Palas Hotel
The simple beachfront Hotel Palas is our best value hotel in the collection and is perfectly placed for a peaceful stay on the Budva Riviera. It's located in the quiet resort of Petrovac, a former fishing village that now lines up a host of relaxed restaurants and cafes. There’s a pool and sun terrace, and well-kept gardens lead you down to the shore. There's also a heated indoor pool for early and late season stays. Rooms are cosy and comfortable, with sliding doors leading out to a balcony with side-on views of the Adriatic. You’ll also enjoy sea views from the restaurant terrace, where tables are shaded by pergolas covered in lush climbers.

Holiday location
Local Area
Location-wise, you’re moments from the beach and an easy stroll to the amenities in Petrovac. The beachside prom is ideal for leisurely strolls, particularly at sunset. Further afield, you’ve got pretty Budva just 17km away, with a bus stopping moments from the hotel. Budva’s old town is a warren of cobbled lanes and medieval stone buildings, encased in 17th-century walls.
Optional excursions
Optional excursions can only be booked in resort and are subject to minimum numbers
Dubrovnik
No trip to the region is complete without visiting Croatia's ancient walled citadel, Dubrovnik. Don't forget your passport as you cross the border. This UNESCO World Heritage site has become the haunt of cruise ship hordes and Game of Thrones enthusiasts and there's much to admire on a guided walking tour of the city. Entering through Pile Gate allows you to experience the pedestranised Stradun (main street) in all its glory as it cuts a swathe east to the Old Town docks. Aligned with restaurants, shops and bakeries, selling burek and struklji, there's plenty to keep you busy all the way along the well-worn limestone pavement. Keep your eyes peeled for St Blaise’s Church, the Onophrian Fountains and Sponza Palace on today's optional tour. And afterwards don't forget to walk the medieval city walls, independently, so you can survey the Stradun, Lokrum island and Lovrijenac Fortress from on high.
