Explore Malta’s intriguing archaeological past

The island of Malta is set in the heart of the Mediterranean between Sicily and North Africa. It has a fascinating history stretching back millenia and on this holiday you can travel Malta’s fascinating timeline by way of archaeological discovery. Visit sites evidencing prehistoric and Roman times and explore ancient locations, museums and medieval structures. Your holiday will be enhanced by three informative talks by an experienced archaeology host who will also accompany you on your visits. After a day of discovering the past you can step into the present at the modern, all-inclusive Seashells Resort at Suncrest Hotel (4Q), in the picturesque resort of Qawra Bay.

This welcoming, locally rated 4-star hotel on Malta's north-east coast offers stylish, comfortable accommodation and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.


All 452 air-conditioned bedrooms have balconies and inland views. Your in-room fridge can be stocked on request, for an extra charge.

The hotel has two swimming pools on the hotel terrace (open weather permitting and reached via a short walkway which runs under the coastal road along the front of the hotel), plus there's a heated indoor pool 150 metres away. A fitness centre and squash courts are 150 metres away at a neighbouring hotel and Saga guest can use use the gym free of charge (other facilities extra charge).

Food and Drink

Meals are served buffet-style in the Coral Cove, where you can watch live action cooking. You might like to treat yourself to a drink at the beach bar or have a cappuccino in the coffee bar.

Other Hotel Information

For an extra charge you can upgrade to a side-sea view, or a sea-view room, subject to availability and an additional charge (side or full sea views are from the balcony which are set at an angle to the building). All of the bathrooms have showers only, except the rooms with disabled facilities.
