Beautiful Lake Molveno lies to the north of Lake Garda, beside the Brenta region of the Dolomite mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site

At more than four kilometres long, with its blue waters, beach and breathtaking scenery, it's no wonder the lake has been described as a "precious pearl".

The surrounding area is part of the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, the largest park in the Trentino region and home to a host of mountain species, including the brown bear.

Molveno village lies at the northern end of the lake, ideally placed for enjoying some walking or water sports, or just taking it easy.

With its old town, selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, take time to enjoy the atmosphere and the views. Alternatively, there's a cableway ascending the mountains to the charming Pradel plateau, or perhaps catch a bus to the regional capital of Trento.
