Life in Gabicce Mare tends to revolve around the sand – a string of sandy beaches edges the coast, bordered by relaxed cafes and restaurants serving seafood pasta and carafes of Italian wine. The local town has plenty of shops and amenities or there's a local bus service to other towns and villages nearby. Up in the hills behind the resort, you’ll find quiet villages and stunning walking routes, while a half-hour bus journey along the coast brings you to the lively resort of Rimini. Further afield, you could explore hilltop San Marino, the oldest (and smallest) republic in Europe.

This historic city in the heart of the Emilia Romagna region, and its capital, is brimming with enchanting, cobbled medieval streets, beautiful red brick palaces, and quaint porticoed lanes where some delightful shops are almost hidden away. Your guide will lead you through the main sights in the center, including the main squares flanked with churches housing numerous works of art, graceful towers, and fascinating corners to discover. During your free time, you may want to indulge in the city's renowned gastronomic traditions, including Parmesan cheese, mortadella, Parma ham, and balsamic vinegar - all originating in the region.
