Gavinana offers a taste of Tuscan life, whether taking in the peaceful mountain air, or setting off to explore...

Tuscany is a land of cypress trees, hilltop towns and stunning cities. From the renaissance treasures of Florence and the magnificent central square of Siena, to its beautiful and diverse countryside, Tuscany has captivated visitors for generations.

To the north of Florence and Lucca lies the Pistoiese Apennine mountains, known for their breathtaking landscapes and popular with walkers and skiers in the winter.

One of this area's hidden gems is the small town of Gavinana, lying 820 metres up in the mountains and ideal for both walking and discovering the nearby historic cities that Tuscany is justly famous for.
