Ancient wonders abound! Rhodes boasts sunbathed beaches, wooded valleys and echoes of its extensive past
The largest and most fabulous of Greece’s Dodecanese Islands, Rhodes is gently washed by the Aegean’s crystal-clear waters and home to a trove of cultural treasures. Your base from which to explore is the award-winning Electra Palace. Relax in the hotel’s seaview surroundings and fill your days with immersive tours or independent exploration. Your time on the ‘Island of Sun’ is what you make it…
During your Stay and Discover experience at Electra Palace, we invite you to see everything that this island has to offer. Walk the cobbled streets of its capital, Rhodes Town, the harbour of which was once guarded by Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In the city itself, medieval architecture stands proudly beside the modern buildings that accommodate the influx of holiday makers and sightseers. To step into the island’s past, we include an excursion to Lindos, capped by the eye-catching Ancient Greek Acropolis, and for a slice of unspoilt nature, visit the 600-acre Valley of the Butterflies. For those that want to sit back and let the island’s sights come to them, join a panoramic tour of the island, or simply order a drink from the bar, recline on your sun lounger and watch the sun-soaked world go by.
