Mykonos and Delos
It's an early start for this fabulous trip to the small island of Delos, the mythological birthplace of the twins Apollo and Artemis. You'll be transferred to the port and then catch the ferry to Delos, one of Greece's most famous archaeological sites. Its treasures are so magnificent that the whole island has been declared a national museum!
You'll enjoy a guided tour and can see the remains of Ancient Delos, a glorious mass of statues, temples, mosaics and ruins, with some pieces dating from as early as the 7th-century BC.
You'll leave the island shortly after 1pm and can enjoy a half hour boat trip to the picturesque island of Mykonos. Its celebrated 16th-century windmills, built by the Venetians, can be seen from all over the island.
Your boat leaves Mykonos at 5pm and you'll return to Paros and be taken back to your hotel.
Please note: this excursion may not be available towards the end of the season when the boat service closes down.

Akrotiri
During the early Bronze Age the settlement of Akrotiri was founded and gradually grew over the centuries to become one of the main ports in the Ancient Aegean.
The town was abandoned over 3,000 years ago then buried under tons of ash from the catastrophic Minoan eruption – a fate that Pompeii would share a millennium later.
Since excavations of this three-hectare site began in 1967, thirty buildings have been uncovered along with a number of well-preserved and richly detailed frescoes.
