Paphos was the ancient capital of Cyprus and the city’s archaeological heritage can be found in nearby Nea Pafos. Here, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, includes the Mosaics of Pafos, the House of Dionysos and the Tombs of the Kings. The picturesque harbour area is home to brightly coloured boats, inviting tavernas, and Pafos Fort overlooking the water. There is also a good choice of shops. If you want to explore further afield, there are local buses to various locations on the island including Limassol and Nicosia.
Paphos airport is approximately a 25 minute drive away. Larnaca airport is approximately one-and-a-half hours' drive away.
Nick Miles has danced from an early age. He is now co-principal of the Star Dance Club, a successful school in London and Kent. As a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) he is involved in competitions throughout the country on a weekly basis. In 1999 he introduced the Grand Finals events for the ISTD a culmination of events held throughout the country still attracting over 4,000 competitors.
He is also a member of the British Dance Council, the governing body of UK dancing and is on the executive committee of the Dance Promoters Association (DPA) a body set up to promote competition and events in the UK. Alongside this work Nick promotes social dance events in London and the South-East, one being the famous Ballroom Blitz events at the Royal Festival Hall. Nick is the only person in the history of the ISTD to have received the Imperial Award for services to dance. He has also received the Carl Alan Award – dubbed the dance version of the Oscars – for services to dance.

You’re in for a treat on this orientation tour of Paphos!
The tour begins with a short drive to the village of Yerouskipou, where you’ll visit a small business that produces loukoumia, also known as Turkish Delight... and sometimes Cyprus Delight. See the delicate sweets being made and sample some of the many different flavours, along with sugared almonds and coconut slices. These also make great gifts to take home! Your tour continues to Paphos harbour, from where you can make your own way to the House of Dionysos, famed for its pavement mosaics. Perhaps also visit the Paphos Fort, or simply relax in one the many cafes by the edge of the harbour.
