Day 1 UK-St Lucia

Bel Jou

After taking your included VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, depart in the morning for your daytime flight to St Lucia.

You’ll spend four nights on an all-inclusive basis at the 3-star Bel Jou (4Q), which sits high on a hill with views over Castries and the sparkling Caribbean Sea beyond. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner is served tonight. D

Day 2 St Lucia

Pigeon Island, St Lucia

Spend the day relaxing, perhaps on the terrace by the pool. Or you can explore the lush gardens that surround the hotel, watching out for an array of exotic birdlife. Early this evening you can enjoy a sundowner cruise in the waters around the island to capture great views of the famous volcanic peaks – the Pitons. Enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks, including rum punch, whilst you sit back, relax and listen to the sounds of local music as the sun goes down. Return to the hotel for dinner. B, L, D

Please note: Departures in 2022 will tour Castries and Pigeon Island instead of the sundowner cruise.

Day 3 St Lucia

The island of St Lucia

Enjoy another day at leisure. Take the complimentary shuttle bus to the beach, or perhaps join one of the optional excursions that may be available. B, L, D

Day 4 St Lucia

Hummingbird, St Lucia

An included excursion this morning takes you along the island's rugged eastern coast to Mamiku Botanical Gardens, set in twelve acres of woodland gardens around the ruins of an 18th-century estate. See orchids, hibiscus, bougainvillea and medicinal plants, keeping a look out for interesting bird life too. Later, you might like to relax with a cocktail and a good book on the terrace by the pool. Or a range of optional excursions may be available – your tour manager can advise. B, L, D

Day 5 St Lucia-Grenada


Take the short flight to the 'Spice Island' of Grenada (50 minutes).

Stay five nights at the small-and-friendly 4-star Coyaba Beach Resort (4Q) which has a quiet, unspoilt location beside the beautiful and world-famous Grand Anse beach. Settle in and explore your new surroundings at leisure. B, L, D

Day 6 Grenada

St George

This afternoon enjoy a guided walk through the island's capital, St George’s. Visit the museum, which was built by the French in 1704 and is part of the Fort George complex, to see historical artefacts and exhibits related to the island.

Next stop is Fort Royal, built between 1706 and 1710, and later named Fort George in honour of King George III when the British took over the island. You'll visit the glorious, privately-owned Sunnyside Gardens crammed with brilliantly-coloured trees, shrubs and flowers, then Fort Frederick to admire the views.

Return to the hotel via Morne Jaloux and Gran Anse Valley. B, L, D

Day 8 Grenada

Grand Etang National Park

This morning an included excursion takes you to Grand Etang Lake. Take a walk around this volcanic crater lake in the Grand Etang National Park, looking out for the island's many species of birds, and enjoy a picnic lunch supplied by the hotel. Return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure. B, L, D

Day 10 Grenada-Barbados


After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the short flight to Barbados (55 minutes) where you’ll stay for four nights on an all-inclusive basis at the elegant, Spanish-style 3-star Sugar Cane Club Hotel & Spa (4Q).

This adults-only hotel has a secluded setting in lush gardens on the north west coast of the island. A complimentary shuttle bus runs several times a day to Speightstown and the beach. B, L, D

Day 11 Barbados

Colourful houses on the tropical island of Barbados

This morning, discover more of Barbados on a half-day Northern Delights tour.

You’ll drive along the west coast, known as the ‘Platinum Coast’ due to its fine white sandy beaches, to the city of Speightstown. Here you’ll visit the Arlington House Museum, an 18th-century building where you’ll enjoy audio-visual presentations of the island’s history. Next you’ll tour the antique-filled Jacobean plantation mansion, St Nicholas Abbey, built in 1600. Behind it is the Rum and Sugar Museum which tells the story of the plantation, plus you’ll visit the steam mill and rum distillery to discover how St Nicholas Abbey Rum is produced and, of course, enjoy a refreshing rum punch…

Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. There are also a number of optional excursions you might enjoy during your stay. Your tour manager can advise on what is available. B, L, D

Spirit and rhythms of St Lucia

Enjoy a drive through Castries up Morne Fortune to the colonial home of St Mark's House, perched high on the hill. At the historic Morne complex visit Howelton Estate, then continue up the Morne to Eudovic’s Art Studio. with its hand-carved wood sculptures. After seeing the craft in action and enjoying some local snacks and refreshments, travel the beautiful west coast to visit the island's only rum distillery, with a chance to sample a little of the delicious results!

Creole traditions and beautiful views

Experience some of the island’s creole traditions on a visit to Fond Latisab. You'll see how cassava bread is made and be shown the traditional practice of cooking on macambou leaves. There will also be a log sawing demonstration – a two-handed operation done to the rhythm of a traditional chak chak band. Before you leave, taste cassava bread, washed down with a draught of local juice.

’Northern Life’ – Castries and Pigeon Island

Take the opportunity on this excursion to combine shopping and history as you tour the city of Castries. Visit the Cathedral and the Derek Walcott Square before heading to the bustling Castries Market. From here, head north to Pigeon Island, one of St Lucia’s national landmarks. If you feel adventurous, you may like to trek up to Fort Rodney, or just sit and enjoy some cool refreshments.

Island highlights tour

On this full-day tour, which includes lunch, you'll visit a local spice estate, then head to the town of Sauteurs and Carib's Leap at the tip of the island. Its name, which means 'jumpers' in French, comes from the last remaining Carib natives in Grenada who in 1651, rather than face domination by the conquering French, threw themselves off the 40-metre-high cliff! Next stop is Belmont Estate, a 17th-century plantation that offers the chance to observe what life was like back in the day, followed by a local rum distillery where you can sample the island's famous tipple.

Atlantis III submarine expedition

Join the adventure of a lifetime and view the underwater beauty of Barbados without getting wet! First, step aboard the Ocean Quest for a scenic crossing to the dive site where you'll board the Atlantis III submarine. As the submarine dives to depths of 150 feet, you can enjoy viewing shoals of exotic fish and a shipwreck through the large portholes. An informative commentary from the knowledgeable co-pilot will help you identify the amazing sights beyond, in a world normally only seen by scuba divers. The cruise lasts for around two hours.

Barbados in bloom

Contrast the tropical delights of Barbados on this colourful tour. The aptly named Flower Forest welcomes visitors with its multicoloured flower displays. Just some of the varieties that you may see include hibiscus, ginger lilies, bronze musas and Brazilian buttons. Next you’ll travel along the Atlantic coast to the Andromeda Botanical Gardens where six acres of grounds are decorated with bearded figs trees, orchids and ferns, along with trickling streams and waterfalls. Boasting over 600 different plant species, the gardens were originally part of a private estate until being opened to the public in the seventies. After included refreshments, return to the hotel passing through rolling countryside peppered with quaint villages en route.

Harrisons Caves

Venture into the sub-terranian depths of Barbados on a tour of Harrison’s Caves. Weave your way by tram through this crystallised limestone cavern and discover subtly-lit grottoes of stalactites and stalagmites, along with glassy pools and a 40-foot-high waterfall that plummets into a turquoise lake. En route to the caves, you’ll also visit Sharon Moravian Church, one of Barbados’ few 18th-century buildings that have avoided any modifications over the decades.

Bel Jou, St Lucia (4Q)

Situated on a hilltop setting overlooking Castries and the Caribbean, the 3-star Bel Jou (4Q) has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Facilities include two restaurants, two outdoor pools and pool bar. There is a free bar serving local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks between 11am and 11pm. Free Wi-Fi. There are 64 bedrooms, most of which are in the main building and have a balcony overlooking the sea and hotel gardens. All rooms have a television, telephone, fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer and safe. Solo guests may be accommodated in spacious bungalows with a terrace, and there are also single rooms available for no supplement in the main building. A complimentary shuttle bus takes guests to the beach.

Please note: The Bel Jou is positioned on a hillside and all rooms and facilities are located on different levels which are accessed by stairs. There is no lift at the hotel and there are approximately 16 steps between each level. If you wish to stay on a floor with the least number of steps we will aim to allocate you on the 3rd or 4th floor. Please contact us to request these rooms. The total number of steps are as follows: 16 from reception and restaurant to the pool area, 35 from pool area to top floor rooms and 36 down to the garden rooms.

Coyaba Beach Resort (4Q), Grenada

Set amid five acres of beautiful grounds on the world-famous Grand Anse Beach, the 4-star Coyaba Beach Resort (4Q) offers the perfect Caribbean retreat. Facilities include two restaurants, two bars, a pool and diving centre, plus you can also enjoy a variety of sporting activities. The free bar is open 15 hours a day. The 80 air-conditioned bedrooms feature a private balcony or terrace with garden or pool views. 

Sugar Cane Club Hotel & Spa (4Q), Barbados

This 3-star Mediterranean-style resort enjoys an enviable setting in lush gardens with accommodation in suites dotted around them. Facilities include two restaurants, a bar, two outdoor pools, a gym and a spa (treatments at extra cost). The free bar is open between 9.30am and 11pm. A complimentary shuttle bus takes guests to and from nearby Speightstown and the beach five times a day.
