Hoi An, Vietnam

After taking Saga's included UK door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly overnight to Vietnam.

Day 2 Hoi An

Hoi An, famed for its unique lanterns

Arriving at either Ho Chi Minh or Da Nang airport, transfer to the locally rated 4-star Hoi An Silk Marina Resort and Spa (4Q+) for a six-night stay.

Famed for its noodles and unique lanterns, Hoi An is a small city on Vietnam's south-central coast. The city boasts a charming old quarter with an eclectic mix of Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese architecture encompassing merchant houses, tea warehouses and temples, earning Hoi An a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Your stay is on a full board plus basis, with all meals, bottled water, tea and coffee included, plus one drink of choice with meals. D

Day 3 - 7 Hoi An

Japanese covered bridge in Hoi An, Vietnam

Included during your stay is an orientation walk of Hoi An, which will include stops at several famous landmarks, such as Chua Ong pagoda and the covered Japanese Bridge, which links the Japanese and Chinese communities. The yellow and green roof tiles are designed to look as if they're rippling, just like moving water.

During your stay in Hoi An, you can also look forward to an included tour of My Son, the former capital of the ancient Cham civilisation and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Plus, enjoy a trip to a traditional farm in Tra Que village, where you’ll get the chance to work alongside the farmers in the garden, and enjoy a sunset river cruise along the Thu Bon River.

Of course you’ll also have plenty of time to relax at the hotel too, perhaps taking advantage of the on site Sundari Spa (extra charge). B, L, D

Day 8 Hoi An-Da Nang

Da Nang, Vietnam

Transfer by road to Da Nang, a journey of approximately 30 minutes, and check into the locally rated 4-star Centara Sandy Beach Resort (4Q+), where you’ll stay for six nights.

The major port city of Da Nang is the gateway to some of Vietnam's most ancient and natural wonders, including the five peaks of the Marble Mountains. Your stay is on a full board plus basis, with all meals, bottled water, tea and coffee included, plus one drink of choice with meals. Guests receive one upgraded meal per stay in the hotel’s à la carte restaurant, Ginger & Lime. B, L, D

You’ll also have the chance to shop for authentic souvenirs at Con market, before finishing at Da Nang beach. With plenty of time to spend at leisure, why not partake in some of the many activities on offer at the hotel, including kayaking, table tennis and snooker.

Alternatively, the hotel offers a daily shuttle service to both Da Nang and Hoi An, enabling you to continue exploring both cities independently. B, L, D
