What to expect on your trek

Trekking will be at a leisurely pace following well-worn paths for an average of six-and-a-half to 13 kilometres (four to eight miles) a day, with steady up and downhill stretches. The highest altitude will be 2,000 metres, with most other walks between 1,060 and 1,680 metres. You only need to carry a small backpack, and most walks are in the morning so you arrive at the lodges in time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. All of the traditional, remote mountain lodges feature spectacular views and have a dining room, bar and large lounge with an open fire. They also have electricity and running water.

Please note: This tour involves some long journeys by road. The roads in Nepal can be poor quality which means that at times you will travel over uneven and bumpy roads, particularly those that around Kathmandu, and journeys may take longer than expected.
