Day 1 UK to Hanoi
Our VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your overnight flight to Hanoi.
Day 2 - 3 Hanoi
Our tour of the city takes us along the tree-lined boulevards of the French Quarter.
We visit the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, before continuing to Ngoc Son Temple and concluding with a stroll through the old quarter.
The following day we’ll continue exploring, walking past Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his stilted lakeside house. We’ll tread the paths once reserved for the emperor and his mandarins at the Temple of Literature.
This evening we’ll enjoy a water-puppet show.
Day 4 Halong Bay
This morning we travel to Halong Bay.
Our lunch cruise around jagged cliffs, caverns and grottoes promises an unforgettable experience.
Day 5 - 6 Hue
We’ll fly to the imperial city of Hue.
We’ll take in the Imperial Citadel and then glide along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, a seven-tiered tower.
The hills surrounding Hue are dotted with the tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty Emperors - we’ll visit a couple during our time here.
Day 7 Danang to Hoi An
We head to one of the most ancient cities in Vietnam, Danang, and visit the semi open-air Cham Museum.
We continue overland to Hoi An, stopping en route to view the Marble Mountains and Non Nuoc Beach.
Following lunch, we take a walking tour of Hoi An and a short boat ride on the Thu Bon River.
You stay at Hoi An Historic Hotel (4*) or La Siesta Hoi An Resort (4.5*).
Day 8 Hoi An
Today you’re at leisure to explore or relax poolside.
Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City
We make our way to Danang Airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Today’s tour includes a stroll along Dong Khoi Street, the opera house, City Hall and bustling Ben Thanh market.
This evening we cruise on the Saigon River with dinner.
You stay at Renaissance Riverside Hotel (5*), Caravelle Saigon (5*) or Mai House Saigon (5*).
Day 10 Cu Chi Tunnels
We visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the extensive underground system built to shelter the guerrillas from the French, and the base of the Viet Cong during the American war.
Day 11 Can Tho
We visit a Cao Dai temple, before continuing to the Mekong River town of Cai Be.
As we wend our way along one of the tributaries by boat we can catch glimpses of locals working in the rice fields.
Later we board our coach to Can Tho
Day 12 Can Tho to Chau Doc
Our early morning boat journey takes us to a floating market.
We return to Can Tho to visit the Mekong Delta museum and local Khmer pagoda before lunch.
This afternoon we drive to Chau Doc and take a boat ride to a traditional house boat and a nearby Cham community before viewing some of the temples characteristic to the region.
Day 13 Chau Doc to Phnom Penh
This morning we board our boat and make our way to the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh.
Spend the afternoon at the central market and Wat Phnom monument.
Day 14 Phnom Penh
This morning, we visit the beautiful Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda, as well as the National Museum.
After lunch, we continue to the Tuol Sleng Museum and the Killing Fields.
Late in the afternoon we take a boat ride on the Mekong River in time for sunset and dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 15 - 17 Siem Reap
We journey by coach to Siem Reap.
We focus on the magnificent ruins of Angkor during our time here, touring a number of temples.
We’ll also enjoy a boat trip on Tonle Sap lake, a visit to Les Artisans d’Angkor school of arts and crafts, and dinner accompanied by an Apsara show.
Day 18 Siem Reap to Luang Prabang
This morning begins at the fortified city of Angkor Thom, and continues to Bayon Temple.
We then transfer to the airport for our flight to Laos. The remainder of the day is free.
Day 19 - 20 Luang Prabang
While in Luang Prabang, we’ll visit the tiered Kuang Si Waterfalls, Wat Xienthong temple and the former royal palace.
We’ll also enjoy a river cruise to Pak Ou Caves, which displays centuries-old Buddha images.
After lunch we sail back to Luang Prabang.
Day 21 Luang Prabang to UK
We transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
Day 22 UK
Upon arrival, your vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
