Day 1 UK-Johannesburg

Johannesburg

After taking Saga's included UK door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly overnight to Johannesburg.


Day 2 Johannesburg-Pretoria

The Palace of Justice, Pretoria

Enjoy an included orientation tour of Pretoria, an attractive city with an air of history to much of its centre. Stay overnight at the locally rated 4-star Zebra Country Lodge, bordering a game reserve where abundant wildlife roams. Look forward to a welcome drink and dinner this evening. D


Day 3 Pretoria-Kruger National Park

Protea Kruger Gate

Journey to Kruger National Park, Africa's largest, stopping for an included lunch en route. Stay for three nights at the locally rated 4-star Protea Kruger Gate. B, L, D


Day 4 Kruger game drive

Maybe see Rhino on a safari

Enjoy a full-day game viewing in one of the largest and oldest National Parks, where you may be lucky enough to see Africa’s ‘big five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – in their native habitat. B, D


Day 5 Highlights of the Panorama Route nad visit to Drakensburg Escarpment

An included tour explores Limpopo Province. See some of the highlights of the Panorama route including scenic Blyde River Canyon and the ‘Three Rondavels’, visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and God’s Window, for superb views across the lowveld. Lunch is included. B,L,D

Day 6 Kruger National Park-Ezulwini

Ezulwini valley in Swaziland

Stop for an included lunch as you travel to picturesque Ezulwini Valley and discover why this country is often referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Stay overnight at the locally rated 5-star Royal Swazi Spa. B,L,D


Day 7 Ezulwini-Mkuzei

Ghost Mountain in South Africa

Continue your drive to Jozini, set in the heart of the Zulu Kingdom, where you'll stay two nights at the locally rated 4-star Ghost Mountain Inn, set at the foot of Ghost Mountain in Mkuze. Enjoy an included lunch on arrival at your hotel. B,L,D


Day 8 Jozini

Safari in Mkzuze falls

After breakfast enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Jozini with snacks included. Spend this afternoon at leisure or perhaps join an optional game drive to Mkuze. B,D


Day 9 Jozini-Shakaland

Traditional bee hive huts

Transfer via St Lucia and enjoy a boat cruise with a light lunch on board, as you travel to Shakaland for an evening of Zulu Culture and dance. Stay overnight at the locally rated 4-star Shakaland Hotel, where you can look forward to staying in a traditional ‘bee hive’ hut with ensuite facilities. B,L,D


Day 10 Shakaland-Sani Pass

The spectacular Howick Falls

Depart today for the Sani Pass pausing en route at the impressive waterfall of Howick Falls, whose waters tumble more than 300 feet. Late this afternoon arrive at the locally rated 3-star Premier Resort Sani Pass where you stay for the next two nights. B, D


Day 11 Sani Pass

Sani Pass

Enjoy a full day tour into the Sani Pass which rises to some 9,400 feet, and onto Lesotho. Travelling by 4-4 vehicle, look forward to visiting a village and enjoying lunch at the highest pub in Africa! B,L,D


Day 12 Sani Pass-Durban

The Botanical Gardens, Durban

Your journey continues as you head first for the beautiful Botanical Gardens of Durban where you can enjoy tea and scones. Afterwards, continue to Umhalanga – a stylish suburb of the city, where you stay overnight at the locally rated 3-star Protea Hotel by Marriott Umhalanga. B, L, D


Day 13 Durban-Knysna

Tsitsikamma National Park, Garden Route

After an early start, fly to Port Elizabeth, from where you’ll travel along the famous Garden Route to Knysna, pausing en route to see Storms River at Tsistikamma National Park. Stay for the next two nights at the locally rated 4-star The Rex Hotel. B, D


Day 14 Knysna

Enjoy an included leisurely lagoon cruise today, with the rest of the day at leisure. B, D


Day 15 Knysna-Arniston

Ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn

Depart for Outdsthoorn, the ‘ostrich capital’ where you can enjoy a morning tour and lunch at an Ostrich Farm. Afterwards enjoy a scenic journey to Arniston where you spend the next two nights at the locally rated 4-star Arniston Hotel. B, L, D

Enjoy a morning tour to Cape Aghullas where the Atlantic and Indian oceans collide, where you can stroll along the beach or explore the nature reserves. Enjoy this afternoon at leisure. B, D

Day 17 Arniston-Cape Town

Cape Town

Enjoy a scenic drive to Franschhoek and lunch at Rickety Bridge Winery, with a chance to enjoy a stroll in the town afterwards. Later this afternoon continue to a wine farm where you can enjoy a wine tasting before continuing to Cape Town where you will spend the next three nights at the locally rated 4-star Commodore Hotel. Day 18 Cape Town

Table Mountain

Set off for a half day tour of the city taking in famous Table Mountain. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. B, D


Day 19 Cape Town

Today is at leisure to relax, or perhaps join an optional visit touring the Cape Peninsula. B
