Spot the 'Big Five' in South Africa
The 'big five' roam freely – often within sight – of the locally rated 4-star Entabeni Manor and nearby Mountain View Lodge. Set on the banks of the vast Entabeni Lake, the classic thatched, stone-built retreats offer seven magnificent game drives to ensure you don't miss a thing on this small group holiday.
Entabeni Safari Conservancy
There are no fewer than five different eco-systems within Entabeni's 220 square kilometres. Located in the UNESCO-listed, malaria-free Waterberg Biosphere, the conservancy is just three-hours' drive north of Johannesburg in the Limpopo Province.

Day 1 UK to Johannesburg

After taking your included VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly overnight to Johannesburg in South Africa.
Day 2 Johannesburg to Entabeni Game Reserve

Transfer to the Entabeni Game Reserve, and enjoy the afternoon at leisure to settle in to your new surroundings. Join an orientation game drive this evening, followed by a welcome boma dinner. D
Day 3 Entabeni Game Reserve

After breakfast join a talk on photography, then head out on a bush walk where you can start putting your newly learned skills into practice. Learn about the traditional methods of surviving in the African bush on this interesting survival-themed walk. Your knowledgeable guide will show you how to read the land in the same way as the indigenous tribes, and reveal how to work with nature and its resources.
The afternoon is at leisure, before cocktails in the bush and dinner alfresco at the boma. B, L, D
Day 4 Entabeni Game Reserve

Spend the morning at leisure, then enjoy lunch at the Boekenhout Water Pools, followed by a cycad walk. Recognised by their stout trunks and crown of palm-like leaves, cycad plants have changed very little since the Jurassic period. The species is now under threat due to habitat destruction and the removal of plants from the wild. You will see some of the specimens in Entabeni and learn how they are being protected. An afternoon game drive offers the chance to spot some of the reserve’s wildlife. You’ll be led by expert rangers and travel in open-air safari vehicles which offer great viewing positions. B, L, D
Day 5 Entabeni Game Reserve

Spend today at leisure, with a picnic lunch at Olienhout. After dinner, discover the southern hemisphere’s night sky during a stargazing experience. The open-air observatory is equipped with large commercial telescope and a ‘star ranger’ on hand to guide you. Afterwards, join an evening game drive – dusk is one of the optimum times for wildlife spotting. B, L, D
Day 6 Entabeni Game Reserve

This morning is free to spend at leisure. After lunch take a game drive at the Wildlife Centre for Endangered Species, where you’ll have the chance to see mythical white lions. Enjoy refreshments in the garden, then continue for pre-dinner drinks at a local bar and dinner in a local restaurant. B, L, D
Day 7 Entabeni Game Reserve

Join a game drive in the reserve early this morning, keeping your eyes peeled for the ‘big five’. Spend the morning at leisure then visit a local coffee shop for lunch. Another game drive this afternoon gives you the chance to spot more of the reserve’s astounding variety of wildlife. B, L, D
Day 8 Entabeni Game Reserve

Rise early for your final game drive today, then after breakfast, visit a local school to learn about the work of the Legend African Foundation community project. Look forward to a farewell boma dinner this evening. B, L, D
Day 9 Entabeni Game Reserve to Johannesburg
After breakfast, transfer to Johannesburg for your return overnight flight to the UK. B
Day 10 UK
Arrive in the UK for your VIP door-to-door travel service home.
