Day 3 Pretoria-Kruger National Park
Journey to Kruger National Park, Africa's largest, stopping for an included lunch en route (270 miles, five hours and 30 minutes).

Day 4 Kruger Game Drive
Enjoy a full-day game viewing in one of the largest and oldest National Parks, where you may be lucky enough to see Africa’s ‘big five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – in their native habitat. B, D
Day 5 Panorama Route and visit to Drakensburg Escarpment
An included tour explores Limpopo Province. See some of the highlights of the Panorama route including scenic Blyde River Canyon and the ‘Three Rondavels’, visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and God’s Window, for superb views across the lowveld. Lunch is included. B, L, D
Day 6 Kruger National Park-Ezulwini
Travel to picturesque Ezulwini Valley (187 miles, four hours and 30 minutes) and discover the mountainous kingdom of Swaziland with its incredible landscapes and beautiful vistas.

Day 7 Ezulwini to Mkuze
Continue to the heart of the Zulu Kingdom and Mkuze, close to the Umbombo Mountain nature reserve (135 miles, three hours). Enjoy lunch on arrival.
Stay two nights at the 4-star Ghost Mountain Inn (4Q), which enjoys an ideal location from which to explore the private reserves nearby. B, L, D
Day 8 Jozini
After breakfast enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Jozini with snacks included. Spend this afternoon at leisure or perhaps join an optional game drive to Mkuze. B,D
Day 9 Jozini-Richards Bay
Visit Hluhluwe Game Reserve for a game drive. The oldest proclaimed nature reserve in South Africa is home to populations of both white and black rhino. After lunch, enjoy a performance at a Zulu cultural village, then continue to Richards Bay (93 miles, two hours).

Day 10 Richards Bay-Sani Pass
Depart today for the Sani Pass pausing en route at the impressive waterfall of Howick Falls, whose waters tumble more than 300 feet (252 miles, five hours).
Late this afternoon arrive at the 3-star Sani Pass Hotel (3Q) where you stay for the next two nights. B, D
Day 11 Sani Pass
Enjoy a full day tour into the Sani Pass which rises to some 9,400 feet, and onto Lesotho. Travelling by 4-4 vehicle, look forward to visiting a village and enjoying lunch at the highest pub in Africa! B, L, D
Day 12 Sani Pass-Durban
Depart for Durban (151 miles, three hours), where you’ll visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens and enjoy tea and scones.
Continue to the upmarket Durban suburb of Umhlanga, where you stay overnight at the 3-star Protea Hotel by Marriott Umhalanga (4Q). B, L, D
Day 13 Durban-Knysna
After an early start, fly to Port Elizabeth (90 minutes), from where you’ll travel along the famous Garden Route to Knysna (170 miles, three hours), pausing en route to see Storms River at Tsistikamma National Park.

Day 15 Knysna-Arniston
Depart for Outdsthoorn (74 miles, 90 minutes), the ‘ostrich capital’ where you can enjoy a morning tour and lunch at an Ostrich Farm.
Afterwards enjoy a scenic journey to Arniston (196 miles, three hours and 30 minutes), where you spend the next two nights at the 4-star Arniston Spa Hotel (4Q). B, L, D

Spend your final day at leisure in Cape Town, then this evening, transfer to the airport for your return overnight flight to the UK. B

Pre-holiday extension - Half board
Extend your holiday in Zambia where you can witness majestic Victoria Falls. Stay at the 4-star Victoria Falls Safari Lodge (4Q). This optional pre-extension includes accommodation with half board, the services of a Saga-appointed representative in Victoria Falls, and transport and flights as specified.
Day 1: UK-Johannesburg-Victoria Falls. Before your main tour, depart the UK and fly to Johannesburg International Airport, where you'll then board your flight to Zambia, which will take approximately one hour-and-35 minutes. Upon arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met by your representative and escorted to your vehicle for your transfer to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe, where you stay for three nights.
Day 2: Victoria Falls; included walking tour. Spend a full day enjoying the programme of activities. After an early breakfast, you can explore the Falls and marvel at the majesty of Victoria Falls from various angles. Above turbulent Victoria Falls the Zambezi is a languid, placid river, on which you set sail for a sunset cruise where you can sit back and relax as you sip sundowners whilst looking out for hippos and crocodiles in the water.
Day 3: Victoria Falls; optional excursions. Spend today at leisure. Your Saga Host will advise you of any optional excursions that may be organised.
Day 4: Victoria Falls to Johannesburg After breakfast, you may have free time for further exploration before travelling to the airport for your short flight back to Johannesburg International Airport, where you will then join the main tour. Due to your arrival time, it will not be possible for you to have the included orientation tour of Pretoria.
