Day 1 UK-Johannesburg

After taking your included VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly overnight to Johannesburg.


Day 2 Johannesburg-Pretoria

The Palace of Justice, Pretoria

On arrival transfer to Pretoria. Enjoy an included orientation tour of this attractive city with an air of history to much of its centre, before checking into your hotel.

Stay overnight at the 4-star Zebra Country Lodge (4Q), bordering a game reserve. D


Day 3 Pretoria-Kruger National Park

Protea Kruger Gate

Journey to Kruger National Park, Africa's largest, stopping for an included lunch en route (270 miles, five hours and 30 minutes).

Day 4 Kruger Game Drive

Maybe see Rhino on a safari

Enjoy a full-day game viewing in one of the largest and oldest National Parks, where you may be lucky enough to see Africa’s  ‘big five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – in their native habitat. B, D


Day 5 Panorama Route and visit to Drakensburg Escarpment

An included tour explores Limpopo Province. See some of the highlights of the Panorama route including scenic Blyde River Canyon and the ‘Three Rondavels’, visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and God’s Window, for superb views across the lowveld. Lunch is included. B, L, D

Day 6 Kruger National Park-Ezulwini

Ezulwini valley in Swaziland

Travel to picturesque Ezulwini Valley (187 miles, four hours and 30 minutes) and discover the mountainous kingdom of Swaziland with its incredible landscapes and beautiful vistas.

Day 7 Ezulwini to Mkuze

Ghost Mountain in South Africa

Continue to the heart of the Zulu Kingdom and Mkuze, close to the Umbombo Mountain nature reserve (135 miles, three hours). Enjoy lunch on arrival.

Stay two nights at the 4-star Ghost Mountain Inn (4Q), which enjoys an ideal location from which to explore the private reserves nearby. B, L, D


Day 8 Jozini

Safari in Mkzuze falls

After breakfast enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Jozini with snacks included. Spend this afternoon at leisure or perhaps join an optional game drive to Mkuze. B,D


Day 9 Jozini-Richards Bay

Traditional bee hive huts

Visit Hluhluwe Game Reserve for a game drive. The oldest proclaimed nature reserve in South Africa is home to populations of both white and black rhino. After lunch, enjoy a performance at a Zulu cultural village, then continue to Richards Bay (93 miles, two hours).

Day 10 Richards Bay-Sani Pass

The spectacular Howick Falls

Depart today for the Sani Pass pausing en route at the impressive waterfall of Howick Falls, whose waters tumble more than 300 feet (252 miles, five hours).

Late this afternoon arrive at the 3-star Sani Pass Hotel (3Q) where you stay for the next two nights. B, D


Day 11 Sani Pass

Sani Pass

Enjoy a full day tour into the Sani Pass which rises to some 9,400 feet, and onto Lesotho. Travelling by 4-4 vehicle, look forward to visiting a village and enjoying lunch at the highest pub in Africa! B, L, D


Day 12 Sani Pass-Durban

The Botanical Gardens, Durban

Depart for Durban (151 miles, three hours), where you’ll visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens and enjoy tea and scones.

Continue to the upmarket Durban suburb of Umhlanga, where you stay overnight at the 3-star Protea Hotel by Marriott Umhalanga (4Q). B, L, D


Day 13 Durban-Knysna

Tsitsikamma National Park, Garden Route

After an early start, fly to Port Elizabeth (90 minutes), from where you’ll travel along the famous Garden Route to Knysna (170 miles, three hours), pausing en route to see Storms River at Tsistikamma National Park.

Stay for the next two nights at the 4-star The Rex Hotel Knysna (3Q). B, D

Day 15 Knysna-Arniston

Ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn

Depart for Outdsthoorn (74 miles, 90 minutes), the ‘ostrich capital’ where you can enjoy a morning tour and lunch at an Ostrich Farm.

Afterwards enjoy a scenic journey to Arniston (196 miles, three hours and 30 minutes), where you spend the next two nights at the 4-star Arniston Spa Hotel (4Q). B, L, D

Arniston

Enjoy a morning tour to Cape Aghulas where the Atlantic and Indian oceans collide, where you can stroll along the beach or explore the nature reserves. Enjoy this afternoon at leisure. B, D

Day 17 Arniston-Cape Town

Cape Town

Enjoy a scenic drive to Franschhoek (105 miles, two hours) where you can enjoy a stroll through the town.

Afterwards, look forward to enjoying lunch at Rickety Bridge Wine Farm as well as a wine tasting before continuing to Cape Town (52 miles, 90 minutes), where you will spend the next three nights at the 4-star Commodore Hotel (4Q). B, L


Day 18 Cape Town

Bo-Kaap, Cape Town

Set off for a half day tour of the city taking in famous Table Mountain. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. B, D


Day 19 Cape Town

Today is at leisure to relax, or perhaps join an optional visit touring the Cape Peninsula. B


Day 20 Cape Town - UK

Spend your final day at leisure in Cape Town, then this evening, transfer to the airport for your return overnight flight to the UK. B
