Magnificent Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is perhaps one of the planet’s most extraordinary sites. As water tumbles over the lip of the Falls and cascades some 350 feet down the rock face, rainbows form in the mists above which can be seen from up to 12 miles away. Discovered by David Livingstone in 1855, the Falls known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya – the ‘smoke that thunders’ are a UNESCO World Heritage site and described by Livingstone as a sight so beautiful it ‘must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight’.
