Day 1 UK to Cologne

Travel to Cologne - a journey from Calais of approximately five hours - and embark Rex Rheni.
Meet your dedicated Solos Host and enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board this evening. The ship remains moored in Cologne overnight.
Day 2 Cologne 🎧

Spend the whole day in Cologne, exploring independently, using an interactive map and audio headset to take a self-guided tour or joining an optional excursion to reveal the highlights.
Arguably most famous for its eponymous brand of perfume, which has now become a generic term for men's aftershave, Cologne was founded by the Romans and has long been an important trading centre. The vast Gothic cathedral that towers over the surroundings was started in 1248 as a pilgrimage church to house the relics of the Three Magi. The two spires are 157 metres high, and were not completed until 1880.
Your ship remains moored here overnight.
Day 3 Cologne to Koblenz 🎧

Set sail before breakfast and cruise through the morning to reach Koblenz at lunchtime.
Spend the rest of the day in Koblenz, at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Discover the attractive riverside promenade and several historic churches, all set beneath the Festung Ehrenbreitstein citadel on top of the hill, which you might wish to visit on an optional excursion and walking tour this afternoon.
Remain moored here overnight.
Day 4 Koblenz to Rüdesheim 🎧

Set sail before breakfast and cruise through the UNESCO-listed Middle Rhine to the charming wine town of Rüdesheim, passing the fabled Lorelei Rock en route.
This afternoon enjoy an included visit to Siegfried's Museum of Mechanical Music where you can see and hear eccentric mechanical music machines in action. Alternatively join an optional wine tasting excursion.
Remain moored here overnight.
Day 5 Rüdesheim to Mainz 🎧

After breakfast resume your cruise, making the short voyage to Mainz, where you will spend the rest of the day.
Enjoy time to explore independently, or conduct a self-guided tour using your interactive map and audio headset. The capital of Rheinland-Pfalz, Mainz has a large Romanesque red sandstone cathedral, which retains its cloisters. Behind the cathedral in Gutenbergplatz square is a statue of Johannes Gutenberg, the father of modern printing.
Remain moored here overnight.
Day 6 Mainz to Boppard 🎧

Late this morning enjoy a leisurely few hours cruising along the beautiful Moselle to the picturesque town of Boppard.
Boasting more than 2,000 years of history, this picturesque town is located in the valley of the mythical Lorelei. This afternoon and evening you can go ashore and explore the town. The Rheinallee along the waterfront is an attractive promenade, and the Gothic Carmelite Church is famous for its 15th-century choir stalls.
Remain moored here overnight.
Day 7 Boppard to Andernach 🎧

After a morning at leisure in Boppard, join other ships sailing in convoy to Andernach this afternoon.
Perhaps join an optional excursion visiting the incredible cold water geyser for which the town is best-known. This evening you’ll witness a glorious fireworks display above the river.
Remain moored in Andernach overnight.
Day 8 Andernach to UK
