Day 1 UK to Budapest


Fly to Hungary’s capital, Budapest, where you embark Filia Rheni II. You remain moored here overnight.

Day 2 Budapest

Buda Castle

Enjoy a morning exploring Budapest: an included excursion shows off the capital's highlights, including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Buda Castle. Depart for Bratislava this afternoon and cruise overnight.

Day 3 Bratislava to Vienna

Bratislava Castle

Spend the morning discovering Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Its old town is easily explored on foot. Stroll along ancient cobbled streets to Bratislava Castle for a bird’s-eye view of the city and see the Gothic-style cathedral, where eleven Kings of Hungary were crowned while Turks occupied their capital. Or join an optional guided tour of the city to make sure you see the key sights. Depart late morning and arrive in Vienna this evening.

Day 4 Vienna to Dürnstein


An included tour reveals Austria's artistic capital's highlights, including the Ringstrasse and Opera House. Later, sail to Dürnstein where you arrive after dinner and moor overnight.

Day 5 Dürnstein to Melk

Wachau Valley

This morning cruise through the outstanding natural scenery of the Wachau Valley to Melk where you arrive after lunch and have the opportunity to visit the impressive Benedictine abbey. Set sail again before dinner.

Day 6 Passau


This afternoon arrive in elegant Passau which is set at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers. Perhaps join an optional city walk to explore its cobbled streets and arcades. Cruise on through the evening and overnight.

Day 7 Regensburg to Kelheim


Step back in time as you explore Regensburg's medieval streets. Discover this UNESCO-protected town's 2,000-year history on an optional tour or perhaps venture to Weltenburg Abbey, said to have the oldest monastery brewery in the world. Sail to Kelheim where the ship pauses briefly for excursion participants to rejoin the ship.

Day 8 Nuremberg


Arrive in Nuremberg after breakfast where you'll spend the day and have the chance to join an included excursion to see the major sights of the city, from its medieval beginnings to the present. Set sail again this evening, bound for Bamburg.

Day 9 Bamberg


The UNESCO World Heritage city of Bamberg is characterised by quaint streets full of delightful old buildings. Spend the day here and take in the town's well-preserved medieval treasures on an optional tour, including the breathtaking cathedral and the quirky historic town hall, located at the centre of a bridge. Filia Rheni II leaves here at dinner time.

Day 10 Würzburg


Spend the afternoon in Würzburg, the centre of Franconia's wine industry. An optional guided tour uncovers the impressive Residenz Palace. Depart this evening and cruise through the night.

Day 11 Miltenberg


This afternoon enjoy the ancient town of Miltenberg, which has an attractive setting on the banks of the Main. Highlights include its 13th-century castle, timber-framed houses and old wine taverns. Set sail again late afternoon.

Day 12 Rüdesheim to Koblenz


Spend the morning in Rüdesheim and the afternoon in Koblenz, taking the opportunity to look around these two picturesque towns set in the heart of the Rhineland's lush wine-producing region. Depart late this evening for Cologne.

Day 13 Cologne


Arrive in the early hours and enjoy the morning at leisure in Cologne. Perhaps explore the oldest part of the city and admire the cathedral which is built in the High Gothic style. This afternoon you’ll sail towards your final port of call, Amsterdam.

Day 14 Amsterdam


Admire Amsterdam's famous network of historic canals and pretty bridges, see the house where Anne Frank and her family hid, and take in the bustling cafe culture of this colourful capital on an optional morning tour. Enjoy a farewell dinner this evening.
