Day 1 UK to Vienna

Fly to Vienna and transfer to the port before embarking Filia Rheni ll. Begin your cruise along the Danube to Dürnstein and enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board tonight.

Day 2 Dürnstein to Melk to Ybbs

Durnstein

Spend part of the morning in Dürnstein, set in the beautiful Wachau valley, before setting sail to Melk where you'll have the opportunity to visit its Benedictine Abbey. Excursion participants rejoin the ship in Ybbs.

Day 3 Passau

Passau

Arrive in Passau shortly after breakfast. Enjoy the morning exploring the 'Venice of Bavaria', set at the meeting point of three rivers – the Danube, Inn and Ilz, and surrounded by wooded hills. Or, to make the most of your visit why not join an optional city walk and hear the history of this attractive town? Filia Rheni ll departs at lunchtime and cruises through the night from Germany, right across Austria and into Slovakia.

Day 4 Bratislava

Bratislava

This afternoon you arrive in Slovakia's capital, Bratislava. Explore the city’s old quarter, overlooked by the massive rectangular castle, and admiring the attractive Hapsburg architecture, either independently or by joining an optional city tour. This evening you can enjoy entertainment over dinner from the Bratislava Folklore Group.

Day 5 Bratislava to Esztergom

Enjoy a morning at leisure in Bratislava before setting sail at lunchtime bound for Esztergom, where you arrive after dinner and moor overnight.

Day 6 Esztergom to Budapest

Budapest

Esztergom is perhaps the most beautiful of the cluster of small towns on the Danube Bend, and home to Hungary's largest basilica, the dome of which can be seen for miles around. You can explore here and the artistic community of Szentendre on an optional excursion. Depart at lunchtime and cruise to Budapest this afternoon, arriving before dinner and mooring for the next two nights.

Day 7 Budapest

Budapest

Awake in Budapest for a full day and overnight stay. This cosmopolitan city is divided by the Danube into Buda and Pest. An included city tour this morning reveals some of the city's highlights, from the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Buda Castle that sits above the river on the west bank, to the impressive Hungarian Parliament buildings in Pest on the east bank. This afternoon you might wish to join an optional excursion visiting either the stately Godollo Palace or the Lazar Equestrian Park Horse Farm before a farewell dinner and entertainment this evening.

Budapest

Disembark your ship and travel to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
