Visit Ireland, Cornwall and Brittany

Uncover historical, architectural and natural highlights aplenty as you sail to five Celtic nations.

Ancient Celtic culture has helped to shape the modern identities of the five nations you will visit on this summer cruise. Beginning on the Island of Jersey, you are invited to explore wartime tunnels dug during the German occupation and capture the coastal beauty of Plémont Bay. Brest is your next destination, located on Brittany’s west tip. The city’s geometric layout, created by a regeneration project following World War II, can be identified from above – by taking a trip in a cable car. For art and design, look no further than Musée des Beaux-Arts, showcasing a collection of more than 1,250 works of art! It’s then on to Dublin, a city that has captivated writers such as James Joyce, Oscar Wilde and Seamus Heaney. Gaze in wonder at the Book of Kells displayed in Trinity College’s impressive library, or join an included excursion to soak up the city sights. Pause in Greenock, located a short drive from the city of Glasgow, before cruising through the St Kilda Archipelago. Each year St Kilda attracts nearly one million seabirds at the height of the breeding season. The pastel-hued town of Portree welcomes you to the Isle of Skye, inviting you to take a step into the island’s great outdoors. One of Skye’s natural wonders is the Old Man of Storr, a 160-foot monolith to which many walking enthusiasts venture. In Liverpool, you have the opportunity to trace the story of The Beatles, before hopping over the border into Wales and calling at Fishguard. From here, you can join an optional excursion to Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty. Returning to England, Cornish Falmouth demonstrates why it was popular with Victorian visitors from yesteryear, and Portland provides a gateway to Thomas Hardy’s Dorset.
