Named after one of the most famous polar vessels of all time, Roald Amundsen’s ‘Maud’, the ship is an ice class 1C ship, equipped with advanced technology, and designed to explore the Norwegian cost in maximum comfort.

Cabins

All cabins have a queen bed or flexible sleeping arrangements, private shower room (some with a bath), and kettle. Suites have televisions and offer floor to ceiling bay windows or a private balcony, as well as a seating area. Wheelchair accessible cabins may be available on request, subject to availability.

Redesigned and refurbished in 2021, MS Maud is a premium expedition cruise ship offering premium comfort in a relaxed and social environment. The sophisticated and stylish interior is fitted with calming, natural Scandinavian materials like granite, oak, birch and wool. Designed for the inquisitive and adventurous, you’ll fine plenty of opportunities to learn about your destinations on board. Hurtigruten’s signature Science Center is the hub of onboard learning, and the on board Expedition Team, a hand-picked team of experts will help make your journey unforgettable. Guests are encouraged to spend as much time as possible out on deck, with educational talks and lectures taking place at different locations throughout the ship. After a day of exploring guests can relax and rejuvenate in the Wellness Center, complete with gym and treatment rooms, soak up the views from the outdoor hot tubs or perhaps seek out works of art from ‘Norway’s largest seaborne art gallery’. MS Maud is a sustainable ship fitted with green technology designed to reduce emissions. She is equipped with a battery pack to support the ship’s engines at sea, and the ship sources power from land when docked, reducing emissions to zero.

Cuisine

The three onboard restaurants offer traditional Norwegian food as well as international cuisine. In the Aune dining room, breakfast is served buffet-style, whilst lunch and dinner varies between buffets and set menus. Suite guests can enjoy breakfast a la carte. Lindstrøm speciality restaurant is open for all guests, however is at an additional charge for non-suite guests. Fredheim, the ship’s third dining option, is open all day offering international 'street food' and is at an additional charge for non-suite guests.
